New Rad System

Was cruising around the http://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/39zmfm/new_rad_system/?sort=top when I ran into https://imgur.com/a/yThF2 little tidbit.

Elevator pitch, it looks like rad sickness decreases total health(along with possible special degradation still, we don't know, maybe this is just a visual representation of our endurance going down) permanently till dealt with.

Might make dealing rad sickness quickly a priority? Maybe a perk gives you health regen up till the red bar if you have a specific amount of rad sickness? Regardless, I feel like it's a cool little detail and I quite like it. I feel like it presses down on you a little more than just passive debuffs of the games before. This also means more endurance heavy characters can take more rads than an average joe.

Thoughts?

I like it. I actually saw it pointed out in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccNSB5FLaHA&feature=youtu.be. It looks like taking Radiation damage does limit your max HP. So Stimpaks won't help you if you are heavily radiated. It also doesn't look like we are dealing wtih quite so absurd a RAD scale as 1-1000. In the demo the player gets dosed with +25 Rads and it effectively costs them a 1/4th of their max health.

Definitely a big improvement that will make Radiation a larger threat. If Radaway is rare, you could be stuck with reduced Health for a long time, and tiny exposures of +1 and +2 Rads will add up over time when they are taking 1-2% of your total HP that you can't easily recover.

I tend to agree on this feature, if the complexity described is indeed something they implemented. Making the game a tad more difficult and challenging from a "survivor in a post-nuclear world, where everything is up for grabs" view is always a welcome addition in my book.
