New radio information

Just discoveredhttp://www.idigitaltimes.com/fallout-4-soundtrack-news-audio-director-mark-lampert-confirms-new-track-exclusive-485826 with an interview of Mark Lampert, the audio director. A couple of interesting points:

  • They are bending the rules as far as the time frame for their music choices, making a bigger time period range compared to Fallout 3.
  • He confirmed two songs, one being The Wonderer by Dion which is the song in the live action trailer, the second is The End of The World by Skeeter Davis.
  • Mark states that they have way more music in the game than they did in Fallout 3. "It's multiples than what we did in Fallout 3. More than we probably should have done".
  • There's many more different radio stations this time around, including a rock and classical station. Mark also states that factions will have their own radio station and will be available depending on where you are in the world.

Ha! I already purchased that Skeeter Davis song a long time ago cause I thought it fit in nicely with Fallout 3 and New Vegas's songs.

This makes me so happy. Classical music is so bomb.

It's why Legend of the Galactic Heroes is so epic and legendary, can't wait ti apply this to my Fallout game :D

FYI, it's 'The Wanderer', not 'The Wonder'.

Well ain't that something. All this time I thought it was "The Wanderer" and that it was Elvis. And I was around for when it was popular. Guess my memory is finally going south.

This is some of the most important news I've heard about this game. I loved FO3 and NV, but those radio stations got downright painful after a while.

All these songs we've seen so far seem just a little bit on the nose, but it's great to hear that there's more stuff for the radio.

This is some of the best news! And radio stations for each faction! It might not be faction music, though, just radio communications and news. Who knows?

I imagen a mix of music and faction propaganda and or faction news, might even do the whole "new caster reports on the players action" bit, but it varies depending on how you act upon a faction.

as much as I do love the music of fallout........ they could do so much more. I mean even though theres a point of divergence, I figured they could do something 1950s style modern music. similar to Tainted Love from Bioshock Infinite. It had that old timey style, but was and updated track. I was hoping some Sinatra and Elvis songs with New Vegas and I was highly disappointed.

I know there could be licensing issues but it would be awesome to here like Bohemian Rhapsody in 1950s style. Even though there is a point of divergence, couldn't in theory the same people be born and make their same tracks? Bombs didn't drop til 2077, so I mean seriously, even modern tracks from today could be done in 1950s style.

heres to hoping that they'll add more stations when DLC hits. Maybe even bring back Galaxy News Radio with Three Dog.
