I want so bad for someone, somewhere, to prove this statement wrong...
Well, technically you COULD dual wield bows, but unless you have an extra pair of arms, I think you're going to have a hard time shooting them.
But I'd agree that one probably shouldn't get too exited over vague hints like this. It is true that the fact that they said "ranged weapons" and not "bows" might indicate the presence of ranged weapons other than bows, but it proves nothing. It would certainly be nice to see crossbows, though they're not as important to me as spears, but I wouldn't consider the use of the term "ranged weapons" as sufficient evidence that they're in the game. Now, I'm not trying to be pessimistic here, I'm not saying crossbows, or other ranged weapons beyond standard bows, for that matter, won't be in the game, maybe they will, I don't know, I'm just saying we shouldn't assume they're in without any concrete evidence.
His use of the words 'ranged weapons' could have just meant the variety of bows + staffs/staves--they'd be thought of as ranged too, wouldn't they?
That depends on whether they work like in Oblivion (Shooting spells when you use them.) or like Morrowind (Just another form of blunt weapon.) We don't know how they work yet, as far as I know.
