I've noticed elder scrolls tends to invoke an aura or seemingly draw a lot of inspiration from pagan/classical societies from antiquity.
Consdering elder scrolls draws at least the slightest of inspirations from real world cultures, does anyone think elder scrolls should ever broach the idea of a religion inspired by Abrahamic monotheism? Akatosh would probably still be the cheif deity, or maybe Anu.
Just when I think Tiber Septim I can help but think of Julius Ceaser, who was also a great conqueror for the real world rome, was popular with the people, and decided by the people to be worshipped as a god.
Can a similar entity to islam judaism christianity be created for elder scrolls? One that forbids both daedra and aedra worship in favor of any one of the dieties founded on the ideals of maybe some dragon born like teacher similar to the aramaic messiah? Or is that too much for elderscrolls, or poses to much of a chance to offend people of the respective religions? I mean the fact that there are pagan like gods already is a slam in the face to devout followers of these religions anyway so does it really matter? I think the idea of a post nine divines elder scrolls might be cool to explore, obviously the old aedra and daedra will still have followers but there would be a new entity which promotes the new religion and tries to convert others. Idk just thinking out loud here. Probably a better idea for a different game.
