New Rig, a couple of questions on mods

Post » Wed Oct 16, 2013 7:52 am

So after having Skyrim since day 1, I've finally upgraded my old AWFUL PC...

Rather than questions on how to install mods, this is more suggestions about which mods to get..

1) I'm torn between RealVision and Seasons of Skyrim ENB True HDR (as I've only seen them both on 720p videos, rather than the full thing.)

2) If I get Better Shaped Weapons, will this effect weapons re-textures (such as Imperial Gladius Sword Retex?) Obviously, I know I need to adjust my load order for this, but I'd like to know before playing around with it

3) Should I grab Skyrim 2k Textures, or is there a better textures mod out there?

4) FINALLY, my old PC could only handle Skyrim at Medium Quality, so what mods do people with BEAST rigs suggest for my new PC?

Thank you

A quick comment or two

1 - Seasons of Skyrim ENB is not tuned for Climates of Skyrim mod (Though True Vision and Project ENB are). Where as RealVision is. Meanwhile, of the three ENBs by the same author i.e., Seasons, True Vision, and Project ENB are rather high on saturation and bloom, not so for RealVision...something for you to consider. A side note, True Vision (performance option) and RealVision Performance preset have minimal loss of FPS. Oh, RealVision supports ENB .229 out of the box...not true for Seasons, True Visuion, and Project ENB (based on ENB .221)

2 - Better Shaped Weapon are mesh only replacement, weapon re-textures should work fine.

4. We don't even know your PC spec...

3) "Better" is in the eye of the beholder. You might want to take a look at the http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20801/? to map everything to your taste.

I didnt want to appear as though I was bragging about my system :)
