The tusk engravings definitely dont look organic but i would tend to doubt that the giant is controlling them. Im pretty sure the giants will be just as unintelligent as oblivions ogres, if they had the same level of intelligence as humans they would have taken over because of their physical superiority. I dont think they would be capable of animal husbandry in that case, but who knows?
You have to really scrutinize the figure in the corner but under close inspection its just a guy with some type of armor or robe, possibly fur. Behind his head is the back of the chair which looks almost like head, which is what is distorting the figure. In addition i think the primary individual in the screenshot is a nord, his skin looks a bit too light for redguard. He also doesnt have the lanky redguard physique, he seems burlier.

The figure in the distance seems to kind of have a "snout" of sorts when you consider the way his nose and mouth are shaped. Possibly an Argonian - it's hard to see any real depth at this distance though. I'm also still not seeing any eyes, but if the Dunmer have the red beady eyes of from Morrowind then that could explain it. As could killer dynamic soft shadows, which we already know are in. :celebration:

Who here, other than me, is truly amazed of how great characters have been made in Skyrim?
I start my Oblivion game and says "Meh..." and "Ugh..."
I look at Skyrim and says "ZOMG WOW WTF!!!!"

The detail is incredible.

Anyways I guess the one sitting is female orc wearing...steel armor?Or some kind of armor anyway I dont think its a robe.

It looks too me like the hair around the mammoths eyes was cut to allow them too see better, this along with the tusk markings make me think that the giants groom their mammoths. I suspect that we'll have seperate models for wild and herded mammoths.

I'm not understanding all of the complaining with the mammoth screen. It looks fine.

They do look fine, but the style for me is a little cartoony. It's not how I would imagine a mammoth to look like. They look really dopey and silly.

I can tell that the person in the corner has a two handed sword on his/her back, and is wearing possibly similar armor to the Nord in front. Thats all I can really tell right now.

If you read this whole thread you would have saw that vsions (a dev) confirmed him as being a Nord.

Nevermind. Maybe if I would have read your post better I would have saw "Maybe just the hair"

Oblivion's faces were pitiful. They didn't even have textures as far as I was concerned, just a solid, plastic matte coloration. These are amazing! A much better improvement in quality than I would have expected for in a single-game jump from Fallout 3 to TES V.

Looks like a Dark Elf to me.

I didn't even see that dude creeping behind there...

I just brought it into photoshop and did some sharpening and zoomed in significantly. It looks like another nord, hes got a beard...it looks similar http://www.gamebanshee.com/morrowind/races/nordmale.jpg

Its similar in the sense that it hangs down on both sides with nothing in the middle. Its much shorter though.
