If indeed the giant is controlling the mammoths I wonder whether or not we will be able to farm them or control them ourselves. I want to ride one so I can stamp on a bloody goblin and then a high elf Lol

Love the character designs so far would love to see a dark elf and an argonian though

@ vsions If you don't mind me asking, why the Nord's skin greenish-brown? Lack of vitamins in his diet or is he a mutant? It just doesn't look like a normal skin tone.
I like the veins and the rest of the bump map details, (wrinkles!) it looks great. It's the little details that count. You are great with Z-Brush.

it seems to me, that the grass in the front should have a little snow on it. it seems pretty weird that 40 yards back the land is completely covered with snow, and there's no trace of snow on the grass...

It's no big deal, but that's how it seems to me.

That guy looks like a nord but he has pointy ears i think and there is a dark elf sitting in the chair he looks gray.

hmmm..... on the screen with the giant the rocks, the trees and the grass could be from oblivion I really cant see much difference seems like shadows arent on there too i really hope that it will be better in the final game

first screen looks fine

The detail in this screenshot is amazing. The detail of the armour, the character, the table... really really detailed.
Only thing I don't like about it is the completely depth-less stone floor. It looks like just a flat texture with zero depth, other than a real stone floor with actual depth.

Mammoths look great and cool. Now it makes more sense when it was said before how giants often come with mammoths.
The distant look great as well.
Only thing I don't like about this screenshot is how the grass is placed. Looks very unnatural and I don't like it one bit, sorry

What i think is so admirable about the Ode to Baldness screen is the expression on the Nord's face. His gaze, his stance, both are really expressive and captivating. How cool is that?!

But i have to agree, a certain texture shaloowness does appear to be a recurring theme. Hoping they fix that by release date.

I can imagine fur being really hard to model and texturize (is that a word?). And it shows on those mammoths.

Personally, I don't see any problem with the way grass is laid out..

I agree with you. When I look at this picture, I first say wow, that's so cool!
But when I look more closely I think... eh... where's the snow on the objects (grass), despite there being snow on the ground?
And why such an abrupt change from grass to snow in a few feet?

It reminds me of Oblivion's sudden landscape changes from lush forest to snowy forest in a matter of seconds of walking.

It's still a really cool image though and I can't wait to travel through planes like that... hunting mammoths :gun:
