New Screens- Thread II

Post » Wed May 18, 2011 11:30 pm

Wait a minute I'm not 100% sure on this but is that Esbern in the 2nd picture. Not the bald guy but the other guy in the background. It's probably not him but I'd thought to ask since we don't have a picture yet on Esbern's appearance.

Vsions,
Would you enjoy
?
[A] cake made of Dark Chocolate Mousse (body), Coconut Panna Cotta (inclusion), Dark Chocolate Genoise (Sponge) and Lemon Bubble Chocolate (base).
? ?

Oh, but I just remembered. Character Artists' salaries at Bethesda are unspeakably highh. You buy that for yourself.
Would you accept a Twix bar instead?

:)

Ha, I wish it were as you say! Since its not though, feel free to buy me the cake ;)

Vsions, what is the monster depicted in your avatar?

NEW RUMOR: YOU CAN POKE BLIND PEOPLE IN ONE EYE, JUST NOT WITH HAND TO HAND

Very naughty. Everyone knows you must find the exploding penguis to poke eyes out.

That first one isn't a screenshot. The other two look awesome though.

I really hope they don't over-use that one blinded eye effect though. We've already seen it on the orc, and now this bald dude. That's 2 out of only like 6 character faces we've seen up close. Just sayin.

I wouldnt worry about it, its just coincidence actually... Although, Skyrim is a pretty dangerous place for eyeballs...

oh right, it's just the skin colour made me think it was a redguard.

When you guys finally see a redguard, you will know it is a redguard ;)

First of all, the dynamic, cinematic quality of the giant walking with the mammoths is amazing. It looks like a professional, natural movie scene, and it makes them look lik ethey are actually going somewhere, instead of staying in their designated 50ft radius.

I know what you mean. It'd be so awe-inspiring to emerge out of a dungeon, gasping within inches of your life, and then your attention is directed to a pass overhead where a group of giants and mammoths are slowly lumbering their way across. Every TES game kind had the issue in that it sometimes felt like there were never any enemies around anywhere unless they were 4 feet away and about to smash your face in. Skyrim's ecosystems are proving to be the most lively yet.

Cryptic, and actually kind of reminiscent of when they landed on the shores of what is now Hammerfell.

I see carvings on the mammoths tusks. I think that means that there domesticated by something. Maybe that troll in the center is their herdsman.

They're very conscientious about their appearance. They grease their fur to keep it manageable. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpJUrt0O7uY

I didnt create the mammoth though I really wanted to. :( Aside from that I think its best if you guys discover all of these things during your adventure rather than have me spoil anything for you guys. Trust me its all worth it.

Yeah, except the shadow over the face is a dead giveaway that it is a hood.

Dude, are you blind ? That's not a hood ? There is nothing above the hair, the dark eyes could be something else... ?

I think they look attached to the cross-harness he's wearing, but not the armor itself. My question is, why do we keep seeing this cross-harness thing (It's even on the Dovahkiin wallpaper here in the forums) despite the different armors?

Major props to the creature artists for the graffiti on the mammoths' tusks. A real nice touch, I think you guys may have got your game back!

Am now super excited to see a Redguard.
