Guys the screenshot he's talking about is this: http://i56.tinypic.com/212cqh3.png

It was on OXM's interview with Todd Howard.

Darn, was just about to post the link!
I haven't seen the supposed "new screenshot" but that's what I guessed as well.
It's in here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6Xn0GbweAE&feature=player_detailpage#t=45s

I hope you all voted for Fart in a Jar on Twitter

I saw this in the GI cover story, I was pretty saddened to hear they scrapped it, but hopefully it becomes a reality!

Anyways, I read the mag a few times and I don't see it. Guess the jokes on us.

And some where saying that Skyrims Graphics looked to much like Oblivion. I see no similarities.

Sounds nice, but being an initiate (meaning you haven't been posting long) ...

I love how the newbies are acting like they're the veterens of the forums now just because they have a couple of stars, even to people that joined the forum before them.

Hmm. I wonder if they added my shadow spell idea from a while back...? Where you can enchant your real-time shadow to fight with you independently as an ally Peter Pan style.

Oh geez, I've already explained myself! Please, leave me be! Let me die in peace!

But yeah, I was just thinking low number of posts = less likely to have been on frequently enough to see everything (Also, I have been around for all the information, so extra time doesn't really mean anything in terms of Skyrim exposure). I wasn't trying to attack him or anything. I even changed my angle at the end of the post, saying they were probably right.

Yeah this isn't in the April Issue of GI. The only thing they talk about is the picture with I think it's a troll and some fan feedback.

Maybe this was an episode of
?How to spread a rumor?, season 7?

Too bad. I really liked that web slowing you down feature. And the dynamic snow, uffff, that sounded good.
Well, maybe in ES VI.

I was unaware of that. Thanks.

Didn't know about the web slowing. And i thought some doubts still lingered as to exactly how dynamic snow had been implemented: a changing texture or changing volume.

Thanks!

i'm pretty sure it did? i actually can't remember, now that i think about it. i could've sworn it did, but i can't remember any specific instances. that could be one reason why i didn't like New Vegas.

i agree they were one of the best things about FO3, though. the whole Radiant Story concept seems like it's pretty much a more polished, more topical evolution of the random encounter system.

Radiant Story is NOT random encounters.

That one. Though it's not the same pine forest. It's not as green as in the trailer.

I don't like that link...McAfee tells me it is a dangerous site.

Unless you don't already know there is a new Skyrim screenie in the latest edition of GI.
It shows a beautiful mountain range (High Hrothgar?) from the "Pine Forest" region looks bloody amazing.
(I'm also Aprils angry aussie)

SHORT RECAP:

-Spier webs that slow people down confirmed.
-Daggerfall Style Random Encounters
-Shadows are a big deal.
-Snow is NOT a shader. It builds up onto objects depending on altitude and region. Super complex calculations go into it.

How was daggerfall random encounters?

They placed quest objects/targets in random dungeons. The dungeons were generated randomly the first time you entered it, with the exception of some. Names of ordinary NPCs were usually random.

What more do you want? Skyrim has Radiant AI technology, something that is based on the Daggerfall system, if not Arena, and later evolved into Radiant AI. Radiant Story is just the story part of Radiant AI.

I think he meant reports of previously-confirmed info independent of the nonexistent article, such as web-slowing and snow as being detailed as honestly dynamic and accumulative (edit: rather than just swapping textures).

To you gents and ladies, 'twould like links as well, btw, particularly for the former.
