Not much to see but the fog looks quite nice.

sweet. i remember pete hines (or some other official) said they were very happy with the fog (and trees).
could very well be from the game imo.

I've got some of the trees in the magazine screenshots alongside the wallpaper on the monitor in that video, and the trees do look very similar to me.

I agree, the trees on the GI magazine and on the PC screen in the video really look alike, especially when you pay attention to the branches.

It looks more like clouds than fog to me

Fog=Clouds

As for the picture. I won't say it IS a screenshot from the game but from what I've seen in the GI mag it is most certainly a screenshot. Mainly I say that because the trees look similar and the fog looks similar to those in the mountains on page 48.

Looks like a desktop, to me. You can see a desktop icon in the upper-left. It's also repeated on the second monitor.

I am pretty sure they and crossbows will be in this game, yes I know he only mentions them in passing but knowing Todd, (yes he lets me call him Todd lol), he doesnt just mention things in passing because he knows we all hang on his words, and they set these things up to draw out the little jumps in our ever so fragile hearts, lol so lets just assume he did it on purpose ok

I don't think anyone's denying the image being a desktop. The controversy here is over whether or not that desktop is a screen shot, based on it looking similar to other screen shots we have seen (especially the mountains on page 48).

I'm 99.99% that is a screenshot. I work with evergreens everyday in the Canadian winters. Douglas Fir or Balsam Fir? Or maybe Blue spruce... It doesn't matter, all these tree's have very distinct cones sporadically grouped on the tops.

those are 22" screens it looks like. and that picture is at what reso? I just looked through some google images and could see a lot of similar and close photo's I doubt it's a screenshot but if someone can figure out the reso of that picture maybe I could do some scouting on some wallpaper sites just in case it's there.

That's almost certainly a photograph, probably from the Appalachian Mountains where he said he parents live and where he hikes a lot. You guys are just seeing what you want to see
