6 "New" Screenshots Discussion

I thought it might be ebony. Or something new.

EDIT: No, I was wrong. Those are definitely the exact same suits of armour. Both elven.

Look closely...

Oops, I posted a scan. Had to edit that one out. It showed the back of a character wearing Elven armor. The difference is very clear if you look at the shoulders and waistline.

http://pcmedia.ign.com/pc/image/article/115/1158651/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-20110330052304153.jpg quite clearly shows that the pauldron is intergrated with the chest piece tho :(.. which makes me so sad it's not even funny

Exactly what I am doing, and I see similarites everywhere...

The gauntlets, look at the circley thingy at the elbows.
The pauldrons, the "leafy" thingies going out look the same, and they both have that "extra layer" beneath them.
The greaves, they too seem to have that "leafy" design.
The helmet, yet again, those "leafy" things on the sides look very much the same.

The fact that it also seems to be the same character suggests that the armour therefor are probably the same.

Amazing screenshots.. Looks amazing! Great step forward I say, everything is perfect water has real depth now(Both technically and also in terms of foliage), The Draw distance is just... Wow.. The Environmental effects are sublime especially the fog around the mountains in 5/5. Already the atmosphere is much greater then Oblivion... Also I like how in 2/5 the third wolf in the background is like... "Screw you guys! I'm not fighting that guy!"*Cowers into a corner*. Although I've always hated the hands...

Never knew why, but in 2/5 aswell, I don't like the arm, as if it is too short but saying that it could just be the "have my hands always right by the eyes" effect TES has grew into using, especially the swords.. I like what I see so far, but it would be nice to see swords in more better positions, you know positions that look comfortable and not like the player's character arms are attached to his/hers face... However not to be a negative TES fan... I haven't actually played the game yet(If I could right now, I likely wouldn't be talking on here as I'd be Ergnof the Nord.lol) It may be much more flowing perhaps when Skyrim is released I will be proved wrong, but Face arms or not, Skyrim will still be the best games for evaz! :tes:

Those are clearly the same thing. Look at the shoulders/pectorals of each, same break in the armor, same number of ridges. Look at the helmets, same 3 spines on each side. The gauntlets have the exact same spiral pattern, although it is mirrored. Pants are the same as well.

You just need to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZfeR-QE5io&feature=player_detailpage#t=35s.

Alright well the scan I have (which is in the Game Informer article; http://74.125.67.100/images?rlz=1T4GGHP_enUS416US416&q=skyrim%20game%20informer%20elven%20armor&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi&biw=1345&bih=532) shows the backside of what is obviously Elven armor. What I think is going on is, because the two pictures I gave have both similarities and differences (see waistline and pauldrons of characters), I think either that is armor that is interchangable or a design they are still working on.

I think the first one looks like it could be a goblin he's killing. And the scenery in the last one looks gorgeous!

Pretty sure that's a Dark Elf...

Anyone else notice the underwater plants in the last pic?

If you look closely at the 2 gauntlet runes/markings, they are the same armor.

They're the same anyway. The helmet may look different if you don't notice the spike at the front in the one picture. But they're clearly the same armour.

Thanks for that. :) Thankfully, it looks like you can see the distant plants, as opposed to Oblivion where they appeared in degrees.

Anyone have an idea as to which gaming platform these screenshots were taken from? I remember hearing that the GI article screenshots (which is where these are from) were shot on the 360....correct me if I'm wrong.

Nice, these are all new to me.
All in all, this game looks great, even the water now that i've seen what it'll look like in a lake scenario.
But I have to ask..
What the [censored] is wrong with the hair...? Dear God please let this be placeholder. It looks atrocious.
