You can be a criminal in one hold and a nobody in another one I really like that! Guess I'll make a lot of trouble in one the holds and then never come back for a long time :whistling:

Or come back just to cause trouble.

"Dialogue:
60,000 line of recorded dialogue, more voice actors"

Does anyone know how many recorded lines of text there where in Morrowind?
I'm trying to get a feel for how many/few lines that actually is..

Fallout 3 had around 40.000 lines and New Vegas 60.000, if I'm right.

My son has the Guinness Book of Records, and it says in there that the largest number of recorded lines EVER in a video game was 65,000 in Fallout New Vegas. It beat the previous record of 40,000 held by Fallout 3

So Skyrim having over 60,000 is getting close to being a world record. People saying that Oblivion had more are just plain wrong.

I must say, I am dissapoint in you guys...... I mean, it says right there in the list: Morrowind AND Oblivion style fast travel, and NOONE MADE BIG DEAL ABOUT IT YET? Where are all the baaaaaawing people that created countless topics about this subject at now? Seriously......

We've known about the inclusion of Morrowind-style fast travel ("carriage system") for a while. There were plenty of positive reactions at the time. :)

So, how many did Oblivion have, according to your sources? I can't find any that says something else than 60.000.

There are over 37,000 lines of spoken dialogue in Oblivion.

http://bethblog.com/index.php/2007/09/27/inside-the-vault-mark-lampert/ Bethesda Blog "Inside the vault" interview with Mark Lampert.

Also interesting to note from that interview, at one point during development there was nearly twice that much.

Fallout 3 was boasted to have 40,000 lines of dialogue, so Oblivion must've had less.

Ah, 37,000 as stated above.

Been following these threads since the first one and just wanted to chime in and say thanks to GT for scooping the info!

I'm pumped about all the new info, even taking out hand-to-hand. I'm confident there will be punching regardless, and if not, oh well. In every TES game ever, you either start with a weapon or find a weapon immediately, so I know I personally won't be missing it.

Really intrigued by the ore and the introduction of professions into TES as a whole. It's pretty much a first for the series, so it's going to be really interesting to see how they pull it off.

This game just already seems like a smarter, better thought out game than Oblivion, and seems like it will be more fun, too. Now... where them scans at?? :hubbahubba:

Not all of 'em are up, but if you know how to look, you can find 'em on Google, but we are not aloud to post scans so you have to look.

Can't really answer that, seeing as how they are scans, they actually look dull, but im sure once we get official pics on the Internet, that they will lighten up, but, scan wise, they look amazing, breathtaking, the textures in the armour I saw were amazing, it's almost as if I can see every chink and scratch.

New Vegas had about 60,000 lines correct? So just as much as New Vegas is very good news.

65,000

But yeah, for all practical purposes, a similar amount (given that a single character is not going to hear every line anyway)

On that note, I had a thought yesterday... if the zoom-lock dialogue screen is gone, how will guards "arrest" you to give you the choice of payment, jail, resist arrest (if that's the system)? Maybe there's still a lock screen for guards once they get within a certain distance?

I'm assuming they'll either lock you in place, your if you walk away when they're trying to pursuit you it'll count as resisting arrest.

Probably similar to Oblivion, it will give you choises at the side of the screen even without the zoom.

Thanks for that link. I hadn't seen that interview before. He sure does like to talk about what he does. You could tell he loves it. :)
