New Skyrim info coming in Playstation the Official Magazine

Post » Wed May 18, 2011 8:25 pm

I mentioned this in another thread, but it would be kickass if there were side quests where a hold might send you to commit a crime in a rival hold, like to sabotage someones economy. I can even see some Dark Brotherhood quests where contracts are put out out on people in a rival holds.

This might go well with the separate bounties, because if you destroy a rival holds economy, you might gain popularity in the other hold.

This latest info about the separate bounties, combined with previous comments from Todd about there being "a lot more" factions in Skyrim, suggests:

The clans that rule each hold might turn out to be separate, joinable factions...that's NINE NEW FACTIONS!! ZOMFG!

Jinjo, can you edit the OP and add the descriptions of the screens please? Anyone who's seen the article have a guess as to what town/city is in the screen with the open landscape?

You already asked that and I already have. They're at the bottom of my post.

Anyone know how many were in Oblivion?

Couldn't find Oblivions, but Fallout 3 boasted "over 40,000 lines of dialogue."

Is there 9 different environments/regions for the 9 different Holds?

that would be cool, imagine walking into a rival hold and instantly being hated, they jack up the prices only for you while your hold cuts prices if you have popularity there.
This would also go well with the info about being challenged to duels, lol.

The regional bounties sound good.
As do horse mounts. And the nerfed guard leveling.

11/11/11 can't get here soon enough.

Their faction is probably going to be part of the comic relief of Skyrim.

The Warriors Guild?

I can't take anyone who calls themselves "The Compainions" seriously. The first thing I'll do is wipe them out.

There's also a screenshot of the typical Nord chracter holding a elven or glass sword fighing against a yeti like creature.

How different is it compared to the GI one?

Very interesting article, thanks for posting this again!

Sounds like the the elite king's guard "Companions" of Macedonia could be a more likely influence on this faction than the "Brave Companions" gang of thugs from Song of Ice and Fire series.
