New skyrim screens tomorrow : V - Skyrim

Anything... something... I want a confirmed PS3 screenshot of anything discernible (not that "we're showing them from all platforms... we just won't tell you to what ratio or which are which so for all you know, that one really poor-looking one could be the only PS3 screenshot" uselessness), footage of anything discernible (although footage, specifically, of the outside world to see how the PS3 version handles such a massive task would be preferable), and/or a preview with an unbiased journalist telling me how the PS3 version runs... just something. Anyway, now I'm probably just dragging the discussion off-topic, so that's enough of what I want.

No worries there Seti, I can confirm you'll have plenty of screens, video and other details concerning PC and PS3 no later than 11/11/11

I hope that you realise that the Ps3 version will be practically identical to the 360?

That is Beth's intention yes, that they look and play the same but he doesn't believe it because of their failure to make FO3 identical on both consoles, even though they never claimed they were during that cycle. I believe if he saw irrefutable proof that they did look and play identically then he would then begin to complain that the PS3 didn't look and play better because it's the better console and is capable of better graphics and game play.

hey I wouldnt worry too much if Skyrim svcks there is uncharted 3.....Trust me it will be better than Skyrim.. uncharted 2 was a way better game than Oblivion... story was better gameplay was better and graphics are amazing.......so dont be to upset....

They'd better be releasing some bloody demos of Skyrim for my PS3 and all our friends on PC as well. Very irritating not knowing how it'll run.

Even if he's saying it will come out tomorrow and it comes a week later, he's just doing his job.
PR = Dealing with fans and satisfying them = Hyping them up = Profit = $$$

Proof is in the pudding...Metacritic Oblivion /53 reviewers 94%........ Uncharted 2 105/reviewers 96% If Oblivion would of had 105 reviewers they would have had a score in the high 80's ...... maybe even mid 80's?

Couldn't disagree more. Two totally different games and I love the Uncharted series, but it doesn't provide me with the massive sandbox open world and hundreds of hours of freedom that TES does.

I know its pretty stupid of bethesda......at least let us know how it runs ..... a written preview, a paragraph .....something.....I understand a video is to hard to make and edit at this time which is understandable....... At this point I really love Elder scrolls games ....But because of the lack of anything regarding the ps3 I am now more interested in Uncharted 3.....and I am sure allot of ps3 users are doing the same......I we had some kind of hint that the game runs well then we wouldnt be asking questions or talking about this subject

have you even played Uncharted? It is a better game .....I still loved morrowind and Oblivion trust me I am fan........ but the guys at Naughty dog are superior developers in story writting and game play.....just letting these ps3 users that there are other games out there besides Skyrim..... I hope Skyrim runs well on all platforms.... but we dont know! what we do know is that fallout 3 ran like crap.....fallout NV also ran like crap.....

Yeah, Bethesda is giving the cold shoulder to PS3 users big time.... We never know if their games are actually going to run on our system without crashing every 15 minutes and having save data corrupted. I'd like to know from several different sources about what I'm buying. And I do think it is unethical not to show the product being sold. Many Xbox players will disagree, but they forget that Bethesda games have a history of pissing off PS3 gamers with their bugs galore.

Can't compare the 2 games. I'm on PS3 and would never choose a 15 hour action game over TES. I will be getting Uncharted 3, but it'll take a backseat to Skyrim. Offers freedom that Uncharted could never dream of.

They're different games, you can't compare them. They will be both good but as far as which one is the better one, it's just a user preference.

I don't think Seti or any PS3 owner is going to enjoy my speculation, but here it goes!

I believe these (in red) are PS3 screens. Looking at Dovahkiin walking through Riverwood and the Forest, I can see some differences in the transparency of foliage.
Comparing them to Xbox, they look loads different. I also think the PS3 version is going to be a bit lighter (as usual) than Xbox (look at one of the Dragur (spelling?) screens). If I'm right, it doesn't look good because that forest screen is just awful.

Hopefully they show some good footage for PS3 and PC and I'm wrong.

That vampire cure bug that was never fixed was just wrong ......how could they not of patched that? it ruined the game for many people.....I had the game of year and the regular version so I was lucky..... and fallout 3 with the crashing was unacceptable........

Skyrim = BIG ASS GAME. There are bugs even in 6 hour long games, what do you expect in a 300+ hour game? Eventually Patches that come with DLC will fix most of those glitches. Anyways, TES games should be played on PC. Mods, Unofficial Patches, Official Patches, game looks better with age due to mods, etc.

I would buy a pc but it seems frustrating.....are there plug and play wireless controllers? can I use my xbr tv as my monitor? how will it run on a 52" tv? I have a macbook pro that is way I am asking these questions.......

It's really easy, Just plug in a 360 controller and it will work straight away (wired, but you can buy wireless adapters yes). You can use your TV as a monitor as long as it has HDMI/VGA/DVI port (most graphics cards have HDMI now). Would not buy a new
PC for a game though. It's just better graphics (probably not a massive leap) and mods. Most mods I wouldn't recommend as they are usually buggy before they are updated. Gameplay changes and visual mods are the only good ones. I do like
to add my own stuff in so it's nice, but it does ruin the game to some extent.

Trust me it won't (at least to me). I can't stand the UC series, it's more of a movie with video game elements. And considering Skyrim has 2 game's critics awards (from E3) and UC 3 has *cough* none *cough*, it looks like, so far, Skyrim is..... duh winning!
