New to Skyrim.

hey. i'm new to skyrim and the elder scrolls series.

(i shall accept my fishy-sticks)

I need help with what game i should start with. the entire story of the series i know nothing about (besides the general "dragonborn" lore of skyrim)

so the continuity may be an issue.

i have no way of playing arena or daggerfall. plus those games are way too padded with overworld trekking. so out of skyrim, oblivion, or morrowwind, which should i start with.

I would start of with Morrowind. You may find the combat frustrating. So I would say Oblivion or Skyrim, since their combat is similar. Start with Oblivion first so that way Skyrim's graphics don't spoil you.)

I love the combat in Morrowind and do not find it at all frustrating (quite the opposite - I'm more likely to find the combat in Oblivion or Skyrim frustrating). So my own advice would be to play Morrowind next, then Oblivion.

But I am in the minority. Most people who claim to have played all three games will tell you they dislike Morrowind's "to-hit" combat mechanics. Mainstream opinion, you will find, will advise you to play Oblivion first, then Morrowind.

Really, I think it doesn't matter much which order you play them in. I like all three games and I think all three games are well worth playing, in any order. The order one plays them in is less important, I think, than the fact that one eventually plays all three.

I enjoy Morrowind's combat also. I played it from '02-'09 and enjoyed every minute of it. I just meant for beginners it might be frustrating.:)
