Times Killed: 0
Levels Survived: 0
Days Survived: 0
These are new. Is everyone else getting these, and do you think they're Survival Mode related?
Possibly. The 1.4 update added a bunch of support for the coming DLC. I wonder if 'Levels Survived' has to do with fighting in the Wasteland Workshop arena.
My guess is for the new Survival mode update.
=P i been waiting for it to star a new PC from 0
Wow, actually, all three of those sound like Arena stats. I wonder...
Bethesda might be missing a few for Survival Mode on PC.
Times console commands were used:
Times tgm was used:
Times player.additem was used:
Times coc was used:
Times player.moveto was used:
Survival Mode is meaningless with console commands.
Kind of hard to track cheat mods which is why I didn't include them. You can track the number of mods used, but there is no way to know what each of the mod does. There are far more mods that change the texture of some item than a backpack that gives +10000 carry weight or a ring that gives 1000 DR.
That's okay, someone will just make a mod to leave these stats at zero.
Perhaps this workland wasteshop arena might be much deeper and in depth then we expect? A full on combat zone type of thing?
Tracking debug commands is rather dumb. if you don't want to use them, then don't. If you do, then go ahead. It's not like there's going to be a leaderboard that the epe/eboob crowd will get all uptight about. It's a single player game with a handful of meaningless achievements, just play the damn game!
Exactly this...
Also whats the point when some of the commands are used in a totally harmless way - stuck in a wall - deleting a corpse in the middle of settlement
Hardly things that some hard-core survival player should be getting his [censored] in a twist about.
Some people believe they have the moral authority to decide how other people play a single player game.
The first two sound like arena stats.. but days survived definitely sounds like a Survival mode thing. I mean, are we going to spend days in an arena? I don't think so.
Tracking debug commands is all about bragging. Some people will post these stats to their friends to show how good they are at the game, but if you have Times Killed at 0 for Very Hard difficulty and Times tgm is used at 20, then it is less meaningful than Times Killed at 0 for Very Hard difficulty and Times tgm is used at 0. Getting the Insane difficulty achievement using cheats is the same way in other games. If you don't brag to your friends, then it doesn't matter how you get that worthless achievement, but when you bring in other people into the game, then it becomes a concern.
Who cares? Anyone that tries to use the stats as bragging rights, or really anything about the game as bragging rights, is taking it way too seriously. Is only game.
It is human nature to brag. It doesn't matter if it is something impressive like creating the cure for cancer, travelling to the Moon, climbing Mount Everest, or winning 6 Olympic gold medals or something completely pointless like having your favorite professional sports team win the National Championships. It is harder to brag about games like Fallout 4, but some people will always find a way.
Console commands I can agree with as long as there are timed autosaves, but mods shouldn't be blocked from Survival. However, people will always find ways to cheat on any game. Cheating on a single player game is more acceptable than cheating in a multiplayer game. Having the save on sleep feature can cause people to lose hours of the game if their computer crashes or some other problem. People use mods for various purposes instead of just cheating. Most of my current Fallout 4 mods are either Armor mods or Settlement mods.
Exactly. Whenever I need to get rid of a body I just call an East End thug to come round and get the job done, doesn't mean I'm cheating or I'm not hardcoe.
Only scared people will mod or console their way out of new survival situations but it's their game to do as they please.
Why is there all of a sudden an influx of people hating on the debugging console? Because it can be used to cheat? So what? It's a development tool for modders; you know those guys who keep make amazing add-on after amazing add-on long after Bethesda have moved onto newer games?
If somebody wants to abuse that ability and ruin the game for themselves I say let them. Any time I've ever used it and tried to carry on with a character it just feels wrong and I end up starting over. If a modder wants to make a Survival based mod they're going to need that console for testing. If it's a choice between restricting it to make some people feel better about their non-cheating ethic or leaving it in to let modders do their work I know exactly what the best choice is.
Except by taking nothing from me you mean taking my tools for developing mods. There will be people who will develop mods tailored to the Survival difficulty, possibly myself included if I enjoy the mode enough. They'll need that tool. I'll need that tool, just as I have for modding Skyrim, Oblivion and Morrowind. I don't care about a "matched situation for everyone that plays", it's a single player game. I've been using mods for years now. You think my Skyrim install is matched to everyone elses? Of course it isn't! I couldn't give a hoot if someone else wants to tamper with their stats so they can get their rocks off bragging to people on the internet that should have no influence on their lives whatsoever. What I do care about is impacting one of the communities that makes Bethesda games worth buying for me. I simply cannot agree that removing access to the console in survival mode is in any way worth it; mods are worth far more than insignificant bragging rights.
