So there is a carriage system. At least people don't have to whine anymore and can just that instead of fast-travel.

If you looked quickly at our editor, it behaves similar to our old ones; it just does a lot more, and does some old things in better ways. But we don't change things just to change them. We still use the nif file format, because it worked fine for what we're doing and our modders know it well.

:goodjob:

Also it sounds like they're not using Havok for physics at all?

Zomg time to read! In the meanwhile, look at the "new" (they were in the GI-magazine, but I haven't seen them legit anywhere on the Internet) hi-res screenshots. They are hyperlinked here:

He danced around the question about spell creation and just brought up enchanting and how each class can craft something lol

IGN: I know you probably get this question a lot but we have to ask, is there any plan to include multiplayer features or co-operative play in Skyrim, or will The Elder Scrolls continue to be a single-player only franchise?

Todd Howard: The two most requested features we get are dragons and multiplayer. We got one of them this time! We always look into multiplayer, put lots of ideas on the whiteboard, and it always loses. It's not that we don't like it. I can think of ways it would be a lot of fun, but at the end of the day, that dev time is going to take away from doing the best single player game we can, and that's where our hearts are.

My respect has been renewed.

i liked how he made fun of the latest DLC threads by saying unicorns 100 dollar dlc, and levitation 300 dollars lol

The news of DX11 being confirmed is enough to have brought me back from the depths and onto this forum once more.

Perhaps Bethesda hasn't fully forgotten about their PC fans after all. :)

IGN: Can you ride dragons in Skyrim?

Todd Howard: Not in the way you're asking.

I'll start off by saying that having Carriages is a brilliant idea and the dev that came up with the idea deserves a :cookie:

I gotta say that's a pretty good interview I wished there was a video but I can't really complain too much.

Duelwielding was developed late, Hm now that's interesting info.
Carriages are awesome
Having Fast Travel is cool
Different Armors and hearing about the Iron Armor being redesigned is good and that also means that other armors could've been redesigned like Leather/Chainmail etc.
Direct X11 Support to a degree

Now this was a good interview I just wished questions would've been asked if Attributes are in the game and what happens if an enemy comes near you and your talking to an NPC, is the enemy going to attack you to death while your chatting with the NPC.

Wow, so DX11 will be supported in Skyrim, although it's features won't be utilized. I wonder if that means modders will be able to easily add in DX11 features.

I'm very happy that DX11 support is in. Great news. Liked the extra screen shots too, especially seeing that gut stab in action. The wilderness shot showed some underwater vegetation which will help allay fears of sterile rivers and seas.

Silly questions, silly answers. :D

Lots of interesting info. DX11 should be good, and if modders can do something with it, even better. Carriages are good.

Also http://pcmedia.ign.com/pc/image/article/115/1158651/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-20110330052320824.jpg screenshot is new I think?

Didn't someone say that we wouldn't get new info about Skyrim for 30 days, Hm must've been an early April Fools joke.

He just confirmed having main stats, that you level once per level up. I know some people were worried about Strength and stuff being taken out. Should calm some of their fears.
