New Todd interview from German site Part 2

And then play out in real time? I think cooking opens a menu and then plays out in real time after we select the ingredients.

You saw Todd having to act it out, so yeah, you will see your character doing leatherwork.

As in an animation for chopping wood, mining, cooking,, making armor, etc?

Yea, animations for them all.

@Skyrimmer You're right, he did act it out. Nice!

That's absolutely amazing. I mean, it's some "uber life changing experience that will change the way games are FOREVER!" but it's something I've wanted to see in TES for a while, and I'm glad it's finally at that point.

It should make for some interesting fan videos.

Definitely. So to will the dragon shouts. I can't wait to see people shouting fire in NPC faces and Fus Roh Dah'ing people off of the edge of a mountain! Youtube videos for Skyrim are going to be great.

Can mid range PC's handle open cities?

Yes, without question. You'd need to have an awfully feeble PC to not be able to handle it.

I'm positive the XBox 360 could have handled it for Oblivion as well. That may not be the case with Skyrim, but as usual they make PC users suffer for it anyway.

Really happy to see more puzzle elements being added. This will increase game play enjoyment 10 fold.

I'm not up to date with PC standards. These days how would a mid range PC compare to Xbox360 and PS3?

A mid range PC would run circles around today's consoles.

I hope they have a sort of taxidermy in the game where you can hang tusks, antlers, bear skin rugs in your home or something. But you gotta kill the beasties yourself.

That would be VERY cool. Just give us a couple of "mount slots" in the houses we buy so we can put our "trophies" up there.

E3 is June 7-9. We're not getting exactly those dates per se, but Pete did say they "hopefully" can show the public "something" around E3.

If they don't... I swear, on my life, I will... [censored] and moan on the forums for a few hours, eat, then go take a nap to get over it.

Even if Skyrim is shown only in a closed booth, we will still get plenty of info from the gaming media outlets which got into Bethesda's booth.

That's what we've been getting for 5 months now. Time to see a gameplay demo.

Sure, but is it clear that a closed booth means we won't get a gameplay demonstration? Maybe one of the gaming media sites will be able to release such footage.

More speed would allow you to always put more detail, put more people on the screen, we wouldn't have to make as many choices between, how many polygons or memory we would put in the environment vs. the people, so our bigger cities still have walls that load you, so that if we were on a next-gen system, that might be something you wouldn’t have to do, memory-wise, to section that off.

But at the end, the experience is kind of the same. You would be just walking smoothly into that city, as opposed to clicking the door, waiting for the load, and then going in...

no no, in the full interview hes saying that if it was next gen consoles you wouldn't need load doors, but in skyrim they will be. But as he says, its pretty much the same experience, and i agree. So i don't know why people have such a problem with load doors. It takes a second and boom, you're in.
