Continuing Bavmorda's Muffin thread http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1184810-new-todd-interview-from-german-site/

Interview is http://www.gameswelt.tv/19748/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/video-interview-mit-todd-howard.html

- Todd confirms walls with loading on larger cities, haven't heard the rest yet.
- Racism and racial conflicts are back, mostly between between Nords and Elves.
- Sneak uses eyeball that opens and closes depending on how visible you are.
- Alchemy changed a little from oblivion
- 50% of the dungeons are small 15 mins or so, half the dungeons are larger, epic 1-2 hour dungeons
- lots more puzzles and traps (inc spacial puzzles)
- Necromancers are in
- Nine Divines and Daedra in also, including some unique quests
- Mammoth, Deer, Elk and rabbits all confirmed
- Each creature has been really fleshed out, they have condiered things like, what they wear, where they live what sort of clutter they have in there camps etc.
- When you see giants in the game they are often with Mammoths. This could mean for hunting? as mounts? co-existing?
- There are other creatures not yet mentioned but they are not talking about them yet.
- Armour, wood cutting, mining, cooking and ;working on leather' all included. They are not mini games you just click on them and do them.
- However some open small menu's such as cooking which shows all your foods you have + what you can make with it. This means there are cooked and raw versions of food

Ok let the dicussion continue!

hmm... nvm since its been edited.

Todd made it sound as if giants went about in unison, kinda like a person would do with a dog. Perhaps they are treated as a food supply like cattle?

That would be pretty cool! Like the Native Americans and the Buffalo!

Maybe it's just me but since they're adding cooking,smelting,woodcutting...why not add fishing? Seems like it could be a great backbone for cooking.

This isn't entirely true. I think he said that the "animal" type creatures (deer, rabbit etc) won't have that level of detail but he mentioned it specifically creatures like giants would get into the culture a bit with the clothes/camps/etc

^what agnon said.

Necromancers are in.. but in what way? If they are in in the same way as in OB.. Not very in if you ask me.

Mammoth, Deer, Elk, Rabbit. Sounds like an awesome hunting trip can start!

An eyeball when we sneak..? Well, that's a good way of adding different levels of ebing detected I suppose.. as long as it's not a creepy eyeball that looks at you all the time

Well...if you wanted to get technical fishing is all ready confermed. Just be ready to get your boots wet and spear em with your sword. That said, I'd like to go bait and hook fishing too.

I'd lol if the spears in the non-clasical sence were harpoons.

wow... had not seen this before, thanks...

A lot of good stuff in this interview compared to stuff by IGN et al where they were essentially repeating the same info. I would love to see a Giant riding a Mammoth...

Necromancers were in Oblivion loads. In the Mages Guild you had to destroy the necromancers. Or did you mean they don't walk around and you can only see them in specific caves?

We couldn't join them or do anything that had something to do with necromancy, that's what I meant.

Can someone please give us a youtube link for this interview, I can only watch or download about 10 percent of the video before it totally hangs, and stops playing or downloading.

Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure that's not true. More than 50% are small, 15 minute dungeons. Some are 1-2 hour epics.

Yahooo! So, it will be a guild or a few small quests from the College of whispers, or synods?
