Right so I'm roaming the wasteland and the game just freezes, so i wait and wait. Nothing happens so I have to ctrl alt delete and it says falloutNV has stopped working.. No kidding. So i close it and steam opens up, it says 1 item downloading, I click it, says it's a 200 something Mb patch. so I let it finish open the game,Continue and im in novac level 4... Are you kidding me? I'm playing on hardcoe mode I was level 9! Honestly what the hell. I refuse to redo quests I JUST finished. It's Not easy either, THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING! :banghead:

I take it you're only using autosaves and quicksaves... Steam has been eating those. By which I mean it's been replacing them with saves it caches.
Go to My Documents\My Games\FalloutNV\Saves
In here you should see autosave.fos, quicksave.fos, and then autosave.fos.bak and quicksave.fos.bak.
The ones with the .bak extension are your real saves. Go ahead and remove the .bak extension, but also rename them to something other than quicksave and autosave, this way they'll become hard saves that can't be overwritten by Steam.
Until this gets fixed I suggest using manual saves periodically.
