I am a New Vegas gun nut.

Post » Sat Aug 08, 2009 2:20 pm

I have so many guns, I don't know what to do with them. I have guns all around my hotel room in Novac. Sniper on a table. 9mm on a desk. Silenced .22 on the nightstand. Machete on a trunk. Shotgun in front of a TV. My house has 0 decoration (not counting the massive amounts of guns). Ammo boxes litter the place. I don't even have any stored food!! Just guns.

Is having so many guns like I do necessarily a bad thing?

But Fallout isnt an FPS, its an RPG. but gun collecting is still okay, i collected all sorts of awesome gear in Fallout 1, but i only ever used my Hardened Power Armor and Turbo Plasma Rifle.

It's both. Because you shoot in first person, but also you role-play. It's an FPSRPG.

You should join the League of Rating Game's Genres with Ridiculously Huge Acronyms that Nobody Use to Rate Games, or LRGGRHANURG, for short.

How about sticking to the topic? :stare:

Collecting stuff is something a lot of players do, some collect teddy bears (I do), others guns - you are one of those. It's fine, it's an RPG - you role play how you want. :)

Ehhh, Guns in general arent my thing, I'm a more 'museum collector'. If it's rare or Pre-War, I'll usually squirell it away in the Lucky 38. Pre-War Money, Cigarettes, etc. I also collect unique clothes. Alas, New Vegas disappointed me at the lack of Chinese relics :sadvaultboy:

I have a really nice, well repaired, set of guns. No shotguns, no heavy weapons, no energy weapons, well except for Ronnie's RCW.

I use guns for dispatching things that interfere with my purpose. Fists too. All that stuff works really well so I usually keep it holstered. Setting up little displays is not what I do and seems rather strange actually.

We did have the wild Wookie build gun huts in Stalker but they were really just big piles of guns he had scamed up. Amusing for sure.

I collect anything I find, especially named weapons. If I have extra weapons, cloths, and armor that I have already, they're sold.

One of my characters collects all uniques (1 of a kind items, armors and weapons) and when I get overemcumbered I take some cool stuff back to one of my many houses (ranger safehouse, Victors shack, lucky 38, abandoned BoS bunker) and decorate. My floors and tables are litered with unique suits and Fat Mans.
