It certainly is unbelievable when you make a claim and don't back it up.

How many people have lost interest then?

I voted no...and no I wouldn't pay for it, I have bought Dead Money and already regret my purchase even though i haven't played it and don't intend to.

@ DevenTarn: Some people have lost interest, maybe not most people, but the list of people growing frustrated and/or bored with New Vegas is beginning to grow.

I certainly would be interested in seeing a poll of how many people have, or are beginning to grow tired/bored with playing New Vegas vs. how many still enjoy it...without it turning into a hate filled argument from both sides just arguing the same points over and over.

Let be honest, Neither Fallout 3 and New Vegas escapes from this destiny, Even if Fallout 3 got high scores, awards and the GOTY along with the praise of Bethesda fanbase, some people got bored and/or tired with the game too

As for the poll, nah, we have enough about VS threads

You have lot of polls, but none of them ended well, so, no, we have enough of VS threads and other poll regarding New Vegas with Fallout 3

Perhaps you might want to re-read my post, I never said a single word about Fallout 3. Nor did I say anything about a poll regarding Fallout 3 vs. New Vegas. What I did say way it would be interesting to see the results of a poll of people who have grown bored with or who are growing bored with/frustrated with New Vegas. if you know of such a poll then post a link, I am willing to take a look at the results, otherwise ease up a bit. I'm not looking for an argument from anyone here, if you are, then please move on.

I will support this claim even though it is not mine.

http://store.steampowered.com/stats/

I go to steam stat page everyday at least, I've been watching how many people are playing new vegas.

When New Vegas was released, the day-peak number was about 57,500. That was the maximum I saw.

(by the way, Steam keeps two different New Vegas in this list, I assume one is Steam-purchased, and the other one is disc-based, I only focus on the former.)

In november, the number reduced downed to around 30,000-35,000 and at the end of December the number went down to 20,000 to 25,000

In January the number went down to 10,000 and it was around 5000 in early february and it raised up to 8000 when Dead Money was released.

The number kept going down and as of today, New Vegas on Steam has a peaked number of 6253.

To everyone who responded to my post with actual facts. Thanks, apprieciate it :)

My post was a sort of challange to the OP, who -if as some of us suspect IS WestotheRockies- has a history of simply making wide sweeping claims and then dodging any requests to back said claims up with a source or a fact that doesn't involve something he'd made up.

For it to be completely accurate information, you have to take in the Steam purchases, Xbox, PS3, those who are not playing until DLC releases, people taking a break, etc. But either way, it seems expected for me. The games above Vegas on the list are either multiplayer, new, or Call of Duty (which is a big hit regardless of New Vegas). Of course the players will dwindle over time, it isn't anything special, and it isn't "in alarming numbers" like a lot of these threads make it out to be. If Fallout 3 had more players at this time, then hey, it wouldn't surprise me all that much. The game is less of a sandbox game. The replay focuses on different outcomes, and for many, they either don't want to do those or have done them and don't have anything else to do.

No, retail and steam purchased copies are identical as far as Steam is concerned. I believe the other entry is the Cenega version.

Even if you were right, why would you disregard retail copies?

Actually, steam stats are going to have.a similar reflection to that of hard copies. If pc's are playing less of one game, I can guarantee consoles will have a similar trend.
