New Vegas Mod Detectives #2

My friend just installed NV on his laptop and he says the LoD is so bad he can't shoot anyone. So I was wondering if there was a Morrowind-like fog mod for this, so you could see a cell or 2 in front of you and the rest you wouldn't have to worry about. Sure, I can tweak AI to compensate too, but I'm not that gifted in modding skills.

Did anyone ever make a mod that cleaned up the inventory of craft items (like a mini-back pack type thing, or more specifically like a keyring)? Gonna make one in the future if no one has when I eventually start playing again but I'd rather not reinvent the wheel if I don't need to.

Also, is there any mod to make the legion carry more ranged weapons? I use mods that increase the power of the guns, and the Legion is simply ridiculous trying to kill me with a sword.

Looking for a mod that lets you have skills over 100.

I currently use XFO Epic Skills, and unfortunately, the epic lock pick (once the skill is over 100) spams the crap out of you
asking you whether you want to lock a door, whenever you're crouching, no matter where you are.

It's random, sometimes it works OK, and other times, it just won't stop spamming, and it's awful hard to use a sniper rifle
when every few seconds, the rifle zooms out and you get a pop-up box asking you if you want to Lock or Unlock
a Lock.

EDIT: OK, Looks like "Boosted Skills" is going to have to replace XFO's skills
until Xodarap77 hopefully shows up again.....

I haven't played NV in a few months and didn't really check the mods since then, so I'll ask here first: did anybody succeed in making stealth more realistic and more difficult than vanilla? I'm mostly interested in changes to the AI and general NPC reactions.

I'm looking for..
- A mod that fixes the current bug that won't let companions use the weapon mods and use it as if it were a non-modified weapon
- A mod that changes all feral ghouls into ghost people (more of a request, because I know that this mod doesn't exist...yet)
- Some kind of overhaul for explosives to balance it up with Guns
- A tutorial on how to install NVSE (yes, I svck)
- A Beyond the Beef quest fix
- A mod that doesn't make companions charge at the enemies while my state is [CAUTION]
- A fix for the Splash Damage perk

Just unzip the NVSE archive to Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas and launch your game as normal through FOMM or Wrye Flash.

- A Beyond the Beef quest fix

I am looking for a face preset, harkness from fallout 3. Would make it myself, but I uninstalled fo3. It just strikes me that he is one of the few male faces that look pretty decent. And he sorta reminds me of hicks from aliens.

- No such thing will, and ever exist until Obsidian themselves patch it. Reason being is that the GECK Entry to make Splash Damage work, Adjust Explosive Radius, does not perform as intended.

I just keep postin' here, lol. anyway, there once was this mod that moved all fire-based weapons from energy weapons to explosives. I can't find it any more...

How does it work... it's more like it really does nothing at all. Splash Damage refers to it as each Explosive having a 25% increase in radius, so therefore you would input Adjust Explosive Radius in with a magnitude of 1.25. The difference is zero with and without it as it should work relative to each explosive impacting onto a surface when it doesn't. Absolute-wise, like one person said on another thread, no idea.

@Above Post: That's a simple edit in FNVEdit. It's more or less just finding the weapons, copy as override into a new esp, and editing each weapon in that esp and saving it. That's just me though. Not sure if there is a file as I just did a basic search of the Nexus. It's hard to tell what a title could contain with that.

Are there any good trenchcoat mods? Possibly just allowing the Mysterious Stranger's coat to be worn, but I remember there were a few glitches with that outfit in FO3. It could be custom too.

I'm just looking for a mod that adds to the strip with more glitz glamour and activity or at least more things to do there. Also I could go for a mod that makes the towns a little bit more immersive. I love the setting and ambience of the game but there's just not much do to.

i remember seeing a mod on the nexus that let you wear the mysterious stranger's coat. but i think it had a glitch with the pip-arm. quick nexus search should find it.

In other words, I am searching for a mod that allows a character to use gambling as a more permanent source of income without getting banned. Were the number that determines you getting banned from a particular casino decreases slowly as time passes. This, I believe, would still maintain the game play mechanic were a player cannot spend all of his or her time in casinos getting rich and at the same time isn't permanently banned from every casino in New Vegas.

I am looking for a mod that will either mute the radio during dialogue or let me manually mute the radio with a keybind during dialogue. I have only found one mod that lets me turn the radio on and off with keybinds but it doesnt work during dialogue and it has some other issues.

Aren't those standard production models? ED-E is the only eyebot in the Mojave, but the others are all standard enemies.
