New Vegas music on Piano!

Post » Wed Mar 02, 2011 10:29 am

Hi there! I can't find the thread I made some weeks ago about my piano videos... I think it got buried by the newer threads lol.
Anyway I just wanted to post here the new piano medley I made today which includes New Vegas' country songs, like Big Iron, Johnny guitar and so on, that some of you requested me. (I still can't find the person who requested me to make this videos some time ago... but thanks whoever you are!)
Well, check them out, and hope you like it!

to be honest i expected this to be some teenagers botched up version of "piano playing" but i am not only impressed by your technique but also your ability to translate the music into a piano format.

10/10 for fan work :-)

edit: nvm, im [censored]. dunno.
edit edit: lets ride into the sunset together was sooo amazing. i listened to all of them hoping to hear it and finally got almost a minute and a half of what i wanted :P

if you ever decide to record a full length version of that, you know there'd be at least one guy who'd listen to it :D (also, you made johnny guitar *good*, when i didnt think it could be..)

Great work as usual. I think I actually like Johnny Guitar slightly now :shocking:

I've been listening to In The Shadow Of The Valley a lot lately. Sounds like a place I would like to settle down.

If you ask me, the country stuff from New Vegas is better then the FO3 soundtrack. I just like listening to Let's Ride Into The Sunset Together or Lone Star in the wastes more I guess.

You did a very nice job on those.

And idk personally i found myself listening to fallout 3's radio A LOT more than new vegas's. idk i don't think i had a single song in fallout 3 that i didn't like while in new vegas theres a handful that i really like (blue moon, big iron, spurs) the rest are just ok, and then theres a few that i really don't care for. plus i loved 3 dog soo.. but this is just my opinion.

Thanks everyone!
Yes actually I prefer F3's radio too, but I have to say that the country songs in New Vegas fit the game really well...

Do you know if it's legal to make the sheet music? (To be distributed for free of course)
I already started making the sheet music for NV's main theme, but I won't distribute it until I know if it's legal to do so... <_<

Really impressive, as always. I saw your video for Fallout 3, too-which was just as awesome. =] I love how you did Jingle Jangle Jingle (I Got Spurs), too, since it's one of my favorites out of the New Vegas radio. And Ain't That a Kick in the Head, I love that.

I know the basics of how to play piano, still trying to learn, but if you ever posted up the notes for it, I'd definitely rather play your music sheets than some crap I'd have to buy otherwise. Your's, from what I've seen, is actually of better quality (MUCH better quality) than something I'd have to pay 6 bucks for. Great work, in any case.

I am guessing it would be legal, its not like you actually giving away the song, that is basically just like copying the dialogue in the game

If it's free it's totally legal. It like writing a quote from the game on the forums. No one's gonna sue us for copyright laws. Nothing will happen, now pretty PLEASE put up the sheet music :whisper:

It would be awesome if you could do the ambient tunes, like the melancolic piano tune that's played in Red Rock, I've been trying to replicate it but I can't play by ear. :(

Yes I think you're right, I just wanted to be sure so I don't end up being murdered by Inon Zur...

I can't remember that piano tune, is it on youtube? I'm already working on a very popular Fallout 3/New Vegas ambient tune though, but I will play it on another instrument, not piano. I don't want to tell what that tune is yet because maybe I will soon forget about it and not play it at all. I... tend to do that

Can't find it on youtube but I know it plays in Red Rock Canyon in-game, probably to reflect the Great Khan's mood since Bitter Springs.
