New Vegas patch PS3.

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 10:56 am

I'm new to owning a PS3 and I want the patch to fix all the glitches in New Vegas but I have no idea how to get it.
I've searched the playstation network and I still can't find it.
How do I get it?

put the game in. It should prompt you to download it.

If you recently bought NV, I would *assume* it would come with the recent patch. Nobody quote me on that though!

Damn it, I jinxed myself again!

Well as long as your PS3 is hooked up to the Internet it should automaticly find the newest patch (and require you to download it).
All you have to do is press x when your ps3 prompts you. Go make a sandwich and you will have the newest patch installed.

You want patches for this game that actually fix this game, then I suggest you sell the PS3 copy ( hope you didn't pay more than $20 for it or you ain't gettin' most of your money back ). and get the PC version. Then download the fixes the community has made.

I have played NV for PS3 since It was released. The new patches make the game almost bug free.

sniperbob: Far from it, dude. The amount of bugs/glitches in this game could fill up 20 textbooks. Each patch only burns through 1 or 2 textbooks. I get so many random glitches on a daily basis that shouldn't even exist. For example, Angela of OSI disables my playercontrols forever, and even with the console command "enableplayercontrols" she disables it immediately, I have to kill her to get by using console commands. I randomly get catapulted in Freeside, my rep with the NCR suddenly vanishes. Some quests just randomly become forever uncompletable because of faulty AI programming. All these glitches I mentioned happened to me in the span of one week.

I'd give this game a year or so before saying it's "almost" bug free. Hopefully when the GOTY edition rolls around...

Hmm I guess I must be lucky then, I for one have never been randomly catapulted into the sky, I can comete all my quests, and the game no longer randomly freezes. But- I don't have any dlc installed either. I remember in FO3 sometimes the game ran like crap after certain DLC was installed.
I guess it is possible patched vanilla NV runs pretty good.

I guess that's the joy of Gamebryo, it smiles upon some people and spits on others. My Fallout 3 experience was near perfect, my NV experience was pretty good too at first, minus the extremely long loading screens. I'll never figure out how it determines who is spared it's wrath though. If only I could go back to my flawless Fallout 3 days....oh wait I can. Maybe I'll play that later!

Yep Gamebryo is the most inconsistent game engine. ever. My Fallout 3 was seamless whereas my New Vegas was utter dog [censored].
