New Vegas preorder bonuses announced!

Post » Sun Mar 28, 2010 10:33 pm

So how do I get all the preorder bonus content so that I actually have THE ENTIRE GOD DAMNED GAME?

(Also, you *do* realize that they didn't make the game, then cruelly yank these items out of it, only to put them back in as DLC, right? They made the game - the complete game - and then had maybe one artist doodle a couple texture variations and throw a couple numerical changes into the GECK, thereby creating some bonus items. They're not part of the game's 100%. They're the 101% extra credit.)

-----
Also, to the guy accusing them of greediness, money-grubbing, and scamming - you do know that:
1) Gamestop, EB, Best Buy, etc... have all been doing pre-orders for years, even without any bonus to be had, and
2) They ask you to give them a whopping $5 in advance. Not the full price of the game. Not even half the price of the game. $5. Holy cow, they're going to break the bank with that.

These forums feel more and more like the WoW General forum every day. :shakehead:

you have to bear in mind that those are probally diffrent pizza companies and therefor will have diffrent deals hell een pizza place's (like Dominoe's for exaple) all have there own instore deals that are not governed by their head office and i know this for fact, but the game retailers cant just offer theese deals because they are proided by obsidian/bethesda so sureley obsidian/bethesda must have controll over where the bonus's go.

It was just an anology. What I'm saying is that it's no different than Best Buy offering a poster with a game purchase that, say, Gamestop, doesn't. It has nothing to do with fairness. Some places are offering promo items and for whatever reason they're not all the same.

Ok did anyone check the background on the pictures. The graphics may not be much different (not complaining) but some of the details in the distance give some clues to the size and amount of places (bars / taverns / casinos/ towns/ radio masts) in NV. That was worth the bonus content shots alone.

You have to keep in mind Steam,Gamestop,Best Buy and Wal-mart are not all one companey. Why would they agree to get the same pre-order bonus as another store? What would draw customers to them instead of the other store?

Actually, people who aren't interested in the game in any way shape or form wouldn't buy it.

Your not getting it are you?

I am. I've already pre-ordered the CE. There wouldn't be much point of me hanging around on the New Vegas forums otherwise.

Wanting all five packs and getting upset about having to choose just seems like selfish, childish greed. It's like walking into McDonalds, seeing the 5 different toys available in a happy meal and then throwing a tantrum because you don't get all the toys in one meal.

I only have one response to this kind of behavior.....GROW UP!

yes but they are offering the because Obsidian/Bethesda gave that particuler game store branch that particuler pre order bonus the store branchs dont choose which pre order bouns they will have Obsidian/Bethesda will say ok you are having this one and you are having that one. Please dont get me wrong i appreciate pre order bonus's and like them but not being able to get all of the will annoy me why? because im a massive fan and want to have everything relating to the game hence why when the CE edition is finally available over here i will be pre ordering that.

i just think that everyone who decide's to pre order should get all pre order bonus's not just one, and worm82075 if that was directed at me im quite happy to just recive one bonus its an extra which i havnt got to pay for all im saying is i think its a little unfair that you cant get all of them they should all be on offer without having to pay/pre order multiple times and there is a bit of a diffrence between a £40 game and a £2.99 happy meal.

I don't like the pre-orders DLC, mainly because I miss out on cool stuff. Like I pre-ordered fro Gamestop but I want the Caravan pack (Binoculars, I want them.) but I'm not pre-ordering from Wally World. :sadvaultboy:

I don't see why everyone is getting so worked up by this :(... It's some pretty cool stuff, just because you can't get all of it with one pre-order? I like what's going on, and it's not like you won't be able to get all of the items, it'll probably just cost more if you're really that mad about it. I like the idea of the pre-order items and think they're good help for the game. But anyway I'ma go to Game Stop. Get me the Vault 13 suit and canteen, with the snazzy pistol :D

Yep. Especially since the toys were never all that cool anyway...except when they used to give away actual Hot Wheels cars. That was awesome.

...but then they wouldn't be preorder bonus items, would they? :)

If you refuse to buy a game because there are different preorder bonuses from different stores (whether the content is available elsewhere in the game or is exclusive to the preorder), you're going to miss out on a lot of games...

What he was saying is the person is interested in buying the game, but refuses to because of different per-order bonuses. Then goes on to say they are missing out because a lot of companies do this.

The I replied. I don't think no one in there right mind would not buy the game, but a stupid person would. I was saying only stupid people would refuse to buy a game they are interested in if it had different per-order items.

It was directed at everyone screaming about the injustice of having to choose. Don't worry though because 6 months after release all the people that jumped through hoops and shelled out big bucks to get all of them will be in here crying about the injustice to them when the five packs are bundled and released as a select your starter gear DLC.

ummm i just read on the caravan PO, that the shotgun shoots 20ga shells....I HOPE you guys know that the lower the gauge, the more powerful the gun. starting from most powerful to least powerful; 10ga, 12ga, 16ga, 20ga, 28ga, .410ga. Please correct me if im wrong(very unlikely).

SPEARS!!!! omgz

grenade launcher sweet!

caravans skeeter looks cool, except for the duct tape around the barrels?(U&O) or the tube.

and idk if this shows my personality, but i would like to have the grenade launcher along with the caravaner's PO, cause binoculars and a grenade launcher go together like peas and carrots.

I'd think they'd go together more like Mashed potato's and gravy.... after all, that's what your enemy will look like after you've shot them long range with a grenade launcher.
