I knew Bioware was notorious for this, but I never EVER thought Bethesda would do something like this.

I'm totally shocked. :(

What? You don't like free stuff with your pre-orders?

That's like saying you don't like extra cheese on your pizza to thank you for making an order... : \

No I like that it's free stuff but I want to get the collectors edition but if I want the caravan pack I'll have to order on steam and I won't be able to get the collectors edition.

Sorry, the reply was meant towards Mikedzines, really... forgot to quote and you snuck a post in before me. :P

Well, I would wait and see, maybe they'll add the packs to the CE anyways, seems plausible?

Most of ME2 Pre-Order bonusses svcked donkey arsch though, none of the things really made a difference for the gameplay.

Getting a pair of Binoculars will be handy, well it's better than Inferno Armor (ME2), anyways. :P

I won't buy into this exclusive retail content nonsense. In the case of Mass Effect 2 there was more exclusive preorder content, and retail exclusives then there was armor in the game. I know its not Bethesda who his developing this content, its Obsidian, but I wonder who's idea it was to do this kind of marketing. Probably Bethesda's since they're the publishing this game.

You're paying for a game, with its full content, not a demo, not a DLC, a full game. If I'm full willingly buying something, knowing theres content I'm never going to receive, I feel its going to have to be for a pretty good reason. In mass effect 2's case, I was really loyal to the mass effect franchise. But i was disappointed in the end.

I'm quite loyal to Bethesda games, and to bethesda's new fallout franchise...but not anymore. :(

It's just a few items for those that pre-order, hardly gamebreaking stuff...
It's your good right to like it or not, but at least it's better this way than, say, nothing at all.
And I doubt it'll turn out like ME2 armor fiasco really, there'll be plenty of armors and weapon aside of those 4, I'm sure.

He could also always choose not to use them.

Weak...
I hate all this awful pre-order content....
If it's complete in time for launch, put it on the disc and quit being so greedy.

Also, if you http://store.steampowered.com/sale/bethesda_weekend this weekend, you'll receive a huge savings on another Bethesda title of choice, including either:

50% off on Fallout 3 GOTY ($24.99)
66% off on Oblivion GOTY ($8.50)
75% off on Morrowind GOTY ($5.00)

Or, you can pick up all four games for just $88.48. Which, I hope you'll agree, is a pretty amazing deal.

Actually, there's no IF in this case. It's a Bethesda weekend, and therefore you do not need to pre-order to receive huge savings on the other products.

I'll most likely pre-order anyway since I was planning on getting both console and PC versions.

If the bonus content was used as baldurs gate 2. Where I could use console commands to get unique stockists of items it would be fine.
I never use exclusive offers because the items do not make me happy. When I can find better.

Anyway the items are far from unique from what I see. So just use the console command on a pc version to add the standard vanilla game equivalent to your character.
Or maybe the developers could after a year or so add the bonus features to a patch.

I would suggest a DLC of all the exclusive bonuses. But that would just be horse armour.

Ugh. There's so many to chose from. At least eBay'll be there to help me fill out these outfits.

[Edit]
Actually, going over the packs. There's a lot of news here. Throwing weapons, super stimpacks, doctor's bags, repair kits, poison coating. Hmm, intersting.

Doctor's bag was revealed a while back, the other stuff is new though.
