Since the new Ultimate Edition (GOTY) will contain all DLC AND will also come out uncut in Germany, will we get a patch on Steam that unlocks the original retail?
Or do we have to buy the GOTY to have it uncut? I would dislike that, because that would mean that many Germans have to rebuy the game if they want it uncut the legal way.
Really would like an official feedback here.

I don't think that will happen.

The game has already been rated in germany, GOTY if it is let through then I am guessing was submitted later.

Bethesda would risk getting themselfs into serious legal issues with the German govenment if they did it.

Sorry, but I view it as you are going to have to rebuy if you Germans want the uncut version.


P.S if you already own the DLC then I woundn't bother rebuying JUST for the uncut version.

I'm sorry but it looks like you need to buy GOtY edition.

But the German version is better, you can have Bloody Mess without the downside of having to search for the bits, only a body.

The German version isn't that bad this time around.

With FO3, I too wanted the english version, just because they also censored swearing in FO3. This meant that characters with a habit of swearing (Jericho, McCready) were entirely rewritten to have a different personality. I sure felt ripped off when I played the German version and found Jericho to be a tired old man, then went on Youtube and found out he was supposed to be a disgruntled new yorker raider.
