New version of Fallout 3 without the GFWL?

So I just saw Fallout 3 on Gamersgate and it doesn't have GFWL logo and it needs Steam to run. So it is the new version of Fallout 3 withou the GFWL? I hope owners of the game on Steam get rid of GFWL too with the update.

There's been nothing new for Fallout 3 since the GOTY way back when.

No new versions, no new updates. This may simply be a case of them failing to mention GFWL. The box shows the GFW logo without the LIVE tag, but this could also be a misprint.

Conclusion: Wouldn't count on it being without GFWL. We'd have heard something.

It doesn't matter much. I don't think GFWL is even active in any way unless you click the LIVE button ingame? Or maybe it was the Fallout Script Extender that simply disables it. Either way, GFWL shouldn't really be an issue in FO3.

That is true but an official answer would be good. Also I don't think retail Fallout 3 can be activated on Steam but this version does.
