I don't know if anyone else saw this, or if it was even mentioned on here before, but during the game play footage of creating and modding guns, there is a gun in the inventory called a cryolator pistol. I'm guessing that is a new type of base weapon in the game that you are able to mod. Or has this been in previous games and i just have never noticed it?

First official mention was in some cut content from Fallout 3. I don't remember if it was the base game or Broken Steel or was it Point Lookout? Anyway that version was more like a flamer, a heavy two handed weapon. A colder if you will.

Probably new... doesn't ring a bell.

Base game, there was even art of it in the artbook that came with the special edition of 3.

Honestly I'm hoping it takes after what the ice form shout in Skyrim does, freezing body parts you hit with it. Imagine the fun and variety it could add.

Lolz that would be cool. Maybe a slowing of their movements if they're hit. and critical hits or massive hits that "kill" enemies would completely freeze them and if you touch or punch them they shatter. That would be [censored].

I try not to expect much from our imaginations running wild though. Most of the time it leads to disappointment lol. Just let it be a surprise!

In the combat trailer there is a synth strider firing at the pc with a pistol that has a blueish laser beam, I assumed it was the cryolator pistol but who knows,
