Next DLC Announcement, Part II

Post » Thu Jun 03, 2010 10:23 pm

From the trailer leaking today and GStaffs comments of coming soon, I think this week will be the week for the screen shots, info and trailer. Next week will be the patch. The week after that the DLC will drop.

One thing that I can comment on is the font for the title.
I hate it.
Looks like some spanish soap opera title.

They should have called it The Burned and the Beautiful.

If New Canaan is near the Zion Park then that's about 160 miles from Vegas. Easily dueable for the courier if there is some form of Transport, either tunnel, you being knocked out or something else. Hopefully that's the case and yeah it would make sense for this to involve The Burned Man because of his past association with the groups in that area.

Edit- If the Burned man is involved in this DLC then I have a feeling that Ceasar and others in Caesar's Legion will have new dialogue.

Maybe that's why the patch is taking so long too. New dialogue options could easily break Gamebryo, heck just playing the game brakes Gamebryo.

Whatever, 160 miles is nothing compared to what the Vault Dweller and the Chosen One traveled in-game. 2 week transition (not gameplay) please. Of course, if there is a vehicle of some sort that makes it more efficient for the Courier to go, then it would be stupid not to take it, but they should just not implement one and let the Courier walk.

It's fine to mention that there may be Mormons in a DLC, it is not acceptable to have a theological debate about Mormonism or any other religion. Several posts have been deleted, if this topic re-appears warnings may be handed out.

Lol, those tribals aren't going to stand a chance against me and Veronica in power armour. Unless they're impossible to kill like the trappers in Point Lookout. Or you have to leave your shizzle behind, like in The Pitt.

Noooo

What happens then is, if it turns out to be fake, everybody starts complaining.

Oh, wait... that's going to happen anyway.

I'm excited about the tribals. I think they could well be servants of Graham. He was working with different tribes before he even met Caesar.

Possible but unlikely, Graham despises tribals and tribals despise Graham. More than likely, the tribals are enemies of his.

He does? The legionaries are tribals, and yet he had no problems with being their military commander.

That doesn't mean that he liked them. Even if he didn't hate them, most tribes are afraid of, and despise him.

A lot of people serve someone they fear, especially in Fallout. I bet Lanius isn't very popular with the legionaries, yet they obey him. Either way, I hope that tribals in Honest Hearts do serve some kind of purpose, be it serving Graham or fighting him. I don't want any more filler enemies without real cause, like the Raiders in FO3 or the Wildmen in The Pitt. Same goes for the Ghost People in Dead Money to an extent, although they were pretty cool.

There's an article on Joystiq about Honest Hearts, if anyone wants to check it out.
