Bethesda Softworks needs to announce the DLC nothing more nothing less,
Pete Hines announced that they re working on it, and testing for bugs and glitches
"moving on" "as many others have" is the same words that people used most of the time ,but thats not going to push the DLC foward
Except here's the part your missing.
People are starting not to care. The game has gotten boring, and nobody feels like waiting until the Spring of 2012 to finally figure what happens to the Courier.
Not everybody wants to spend a bunch of money on DLC that they will only play for a few hours, one time, because the game got stale, and they don't feel like playing the game itself anymore when they get back to Mojave Wasteland.
This is especially true considering that NV DLC is part of a main storyline that feels like it should've been in the game to begin with. It isn't like FO3 where most DLC is it's own seperate quest in a fun new world, usually different from the storyline.
With NV, we're just waiting to figure out the game's
main storyline, and people are getting sick of waiting. It has nothing to do with people "trying to make the DLC" come out.
It has everything to do with the fanbase shrinking, and the game losing money it could have had, had Obisidan not slacked on getting the DLC ready in time.
