Next DLC Announcement, Part II

Post » Thu Jun 03, 2010 10:48 am

Apparently Old World Blues is coming in May. Kind of disappointed that Honest Hearts isn't next, but I'm also happy since the Big Empty is supposed to be filled with awesome technology. Power armor is high on my priority list.

Where did you hear this? According to that copyright thing someone posted here, HH is due out April 19th, which if what your saying is right, they will probably have one DLC out every month up till skyrim's release.

Read the full thread then:

By the way.

On NMA in the latest newsarticle Brother None posted this on the forum:

"The trademark filing has been accepted and is now "published for opposition" until April 19th. That has absolutely nothing to do with the DLC publishing date, it means that if someone wants to make a claim on already owning the mark or object on other grounds, he needs to do so before April 19th or the trademark becomes registered and can only be contested in court. Simplified, but you get the idea.

There's no way the next DLC is out April 19th and we've heard nothing of it officially yet. I have no idea what's keeping the DLC, honestly.
"

Just thought it might be of interest to the topic at hand.
Hey, Antisocial21, remember to edit in all DLC news into the OP.

(Or I could do it in my 2nd post if you're unavailable.)

[edit]
In case he isn't going to reply to this thread I'm going to use his quote in this post:

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1178053-old-world-blues-info-next-month/
I got the newest issue of the Playstation Magazine, and a preview of next months "Qore" is always featured, next month's has information on Old World Blues.

The subtitle for it says, "Are you the scientist or the guinea pig?"

It's on page 6, and it releases on PSN on the 3rd of May.

That's because petitions aren't allowed on the forums.

lol, of course they wont! Why would they let their customers annoy them on their own forum! Oh well...just one of the draw backs to posting on a company board. At least they (hopefully) read our posts and hear what we do/don't want.

@gabriel77dan Thanks. I tried to find that thread, but couldn't remember what it was called. I must have over looked it.

I'm hoping that they actually take the time out of their busy schedules and tell us some information relatively soon. Especially since we are now talking about Old World Blues being released. Let's just hope. :whistling:

Or not....
I think they meant in the next couple of months, not weeks when they said "soon"

Honestly I was expecting Honest Hearts to be the next one to come out. Still kinda think that because they're just getting the trademark to Old world Blues now, unless they plan on launching Honest Hearts, Lonesome Road and Old World Blues at the same time which I doubt. Is there a site on the Interwebs where I can see this article.

"The info in that story is not correct. We will be letting people know the plan for upcoming Fallout: New Vegas DLCs in the next couple of weeks," says a Bethesda rep. That quote was dated on March 17, 2011. Couple usually means "two", most people on here thought that they would actually give us some info in two weeks. Two Weeks Later... Nothing. Three Weeks Later... Nothing. I guessed they lied to us or the "info in that [QUOTE] is not correct"

I wonder if some people think that by posting "I give up and am moving on" it will somehow force the sudden arrival of the DLC we're all waiting for.

Am I impatient? Yep. Do I want more DLC for New Vegas? I'm practically chewing my fingers off waiting for it.

But I'm just going to keep waiting. I'm sure we'll see it at some point. Little... threats... (like "I'm selling mine" or "I'm moving on") won't help anything.

Bethesda Softworks needs to announce the DLC nothing more nothing less,

Pete Hines announced that they re working on it, and testing for bugs and glitches

"moving on" "as many others have" is the same words that people used most of the time ,but thats not going to push the DLC foward

You can look foward the DLC after Skyrim if you want, I dont see a rule that prevents you from doing it

I'm still actively playing this game (haven't even seen house, or legions play-throughs yet, doing a legion play through right now.) so I'm still plenty occupied. But the waiting does indeed svck. I personally don't see myself moving on from New Vegas anytime soon. Patience is a virtue as they say.

I can wait somehow.

I got a book or two to read.
I'd rather have a working DLC than some glitched out mess I can't even play.

If Skyrim was coming out in the next month or two this might make sense, but seriously? Skyrim is more then seven months away. There is still plenty of time for DLCs between now and then.

Except here's the part your missing.
People are starting not to care.
The game has gotten boring, and nobody feels like waiting until the Spring of 2012 to finally figure what happens to the Courier.
Not everybody wants to spend a bunch of money on DLC that they will only play for a few hours, one time, because the game got stale, and they don't feel like playing the game itself anymore when they get back to Mojave Wasteland.
This is especially true considering that NV DLC is part of a main storyline that feels like it should've been in the game to begin with. It isn't like FO3 where most DLC is it's own seperate quest in a fun new world, usually different from the storyline.
With NV, we're just waiting to figure out the game's main storyline, and people are getting sick of waiting. It has nothing to do with people "trying to make the DLC" come out.
It has everything to do with the fanbase shrinking, and the game losing money it could have had, had Obisidan not slacked on getting the DLC ready in time.
