Next DLC announcement

Post » Wed Mar 31, 2010 10:37 am

I wonder what will the third DLC be about. There really isn't any mysteries left in the base game, assuming the Burned Man is in Honest Hearts and Ulysses in the last one.

it'll probably be an add on to the game, like a new town or something, cuz ur right, there are no more mysteries, except for maybe victor.... yeah... maybe something with victor... i mean, no1 else is interested? he's basically the only robot not in new vegas.... or 1 of vary few... and every time u kill him he comes back on a new robot O.O omg... THAT SHOULD BE A DLC!!!! victor like... is crazy.. or something!! AND U FIND OUT Y HE SAVED U!!!.. omg.. im friggen on to something man.

The Burned Man is still pretty much a mystery. The only thing we know is that he's likely to appear in Honest Hearts. We don't know how he's doing, what he wants, what he's been doing since the first battle of Hoover Dam and how he feels about the Legion and the other factions in the Mojave.

True, but you'd imagine he isin't a fan of the legion after they coated him in pitch, set him on fire and threw him into the grand canyon. im sure he is at least a little mad at em

Oh yes obviously. I would be upset if they did that to me as well. And a little surprised that I'd have survived it. But anyway, it remains pretty much a mystery what he actually wants and it's even unclear if he'll be your friend of foe.

If Graham was that dedicated to the Legion, I doubt he would hate them.

I think he would understand why they did it.

He was the first legate, and made the legion with ceaser after all.

There are so many possibilities for continuing these DLC add-ons:

Geckos vs. Deathclaws
Leisure Suit Courier
Mojave Quake
World of Wasteland

When he was described by the NCR in game he was described as "Being way stronger the Lenius" and remember how hard of a boss he was? on Hard for me he survived a holy frag grenade, i think that Graham is gonna be one bad vato.

What do you have against Mothership Zeta, I thought that it was a classic, I would love to see it return.

They're official names because they're trademarked

I am quite honestly surprised by the amount of people who actually liked Mothership Zeta. I'm even more surprised that people actually want the same thing to happen to the Courier. The horror!

It's been quite a while indeed. It would be odd if they'd release a relatively small, Dead Money-sized DLC at this point. I'm thinking they're either finally putting some effort into the next DLC and make it more like an expansion, or they're having, or had in the last few months, some programming issues with the not-so-perfect engine and all.

AND if that's the case, it means they're doing something enw and interesting anyways, because if they were doing the regular old grind, why would they run into programming issues!

Lonesom Road. For some reason I just pictured us having to walk across a loooooooooong road with nothing else around apart from the odd sign or burnt car now and then until you to get to a location. I would totally love that. It would be so immersive and feel like a proper wasteland.

Unbelievable.
I come here everyday expecting some real DLC news, but it never happens.
Absolutely atrocious business strategy.

if any one is still looking on this forum i think that you would like to know that in all there will be a total of 8 dlc for fallout new vegas and recently these trade marks have been leaked through bethesda studio, old world blues, honest hearts, lonesome road, area 51. P.S. there will not be another MotherShip Zeta because all of the technology will be easily found in area 51.

Bullsh!t there is no way they can actually trademark Area 51, if somebody else already hasn't it's far too generic.

Or Obsidian's busy making the content sizeable with minimal bugs while working out base game bugs with staff borrowed from BGS.

Trust me I'm waiting for an announcement too but throwing out pretty inseccent remarks like that only mislead or create a side diversion away from the topic. In which case if no info about the dlc is being spilled there are a load of things to do in -real life.- Undoubtedly Josh Sawyer would be happy that your not wasting every hour on the game or forums about the game. Come back to both when you need entertainment or there's information to give.

I guess there's a reason Bethesda and apparently now Obsidian, atleast for FNV, are skipping real expansion pack/s in lieu of cheap add on packs.

Hopefully I'm not wrong and they are spending this time to put in quality writing with no holes in gameplay/story/decisions along with the actual content of the next pack. Of coarse keeping bugs minimal might be a slight far-fetched dream.

DLCs are cash cows. Less work and more money.

I hope so as well. My theory is Bethesda is finally doing their job in QA with the DLC which they did not do so well when it came to the main game.

Sounds like speculation to me. We'll have more on the upcoming DLC for New Vegas soon.
