Next-gen concoles confirmed hardware

Post » Sat Oct 03, 2009 8:58 pm

In case anyone's interested, I read in an article that Nvidia confirmed Project Denver was going to be used in a next-Gen Console. didn't say which one, but most likely PS4. So next Gen in will be an all AMD/Microsoft machine (AMD Fusion II), A guess, and an all Nvidia/Sony machine (Project Denver and "next-gen GPU"), almost confirmed.

What's up pumpkin head. Yup, I'm just excited to see what Nvidia rolls out with in 2013. Maxwell should be amazing. I'm assuming that's what the PS4 will use. The Maxwell/Project Denver thing

No, I just mean it's that time again. A new console comes out, overhyped, the other one gets even more overhyped so that it compensates for the late release, they both get fanbases, which result in flamewars with each other and with the owners of the previous gen. Also, possible disappointment from either or both of them.

Oh, well then yeah..should be fun. I like all, cept Nintendo they svck. Kinda wish Microsoft and Sony would just team up though, kinda stupid to have 2 consoles that are so similar to eachother.

I'm afraid that's just not the case, one is superior and we all know which of the two it is.

Yeah one's superior in the same way an Athlon XP is superior to a Pentium 4. Or the be exact a Geforce 7800 over an Radeon X1900. If you compare in relative terms their both old and relatively weak. and yes I own them both, but they're both way weaker than my PC.

A rather nasty sideffect will be that this will once again start the harware race. Which won't last long, probably a year at most, but it'll still be painful for most PC users until the consoles become yesterday's news in terms of hardware.

2013?

In 2012/13 when this thing comes out we will already use 10 cores with 5-6 GHZ each.. i cant even imagine what kind of Grfxcards will appear.

So lets face it... when the new consoles arrive.. they will be outdated already.. as always.

The Next gen console will be weaker than my current pc... I think I'm just gonna stick with my pc.

if things go according to the graphs and predictions from video card manufacters, the average $250 video card in 2013 will have a performance like 2 or 3 GTX580s, enough to run crysis over 150 FPS
