Next month will be two years

Next month will be two years that I have been playing this game, and I have to say I still have a blast playing it. Vanilla Skyrim took up a lot of my life, and now there are a ton of mods taking up all of my time. I honestly cannot recall ever having this much fun playing a game. :tes:

I got the game late November (I think it was the 27th of November) and I still enjoy playing it. I do play Oblivion, GTA V and Dark souls but Skyrim keeps calling me back. I just got a PC that might be able to play Morrowind but I'll still be playing Skyrim on xbox. when I get enough money I'll start to build a good gaming PC just for Skyrim.

On 11,11,13 I will play Skyrim as soom as I wake up and I'll see how long I can play it for in 1 go (probably 30+ hours)

I'm still enjoying the game. I just started a new character today, as a matter of fact.

Sadly, I don't play very much anymore. No, I spend all my time making mods lol.

It's certainly kept better than Oblivion. I also still play on occasion after two years, something that certainly didn't happen with the previous game.

The world is just a joy to walk around in.

I probably had as much "fun" playing other games, not many, but maybe gta san andreas, red dead redemption and fallout 3 were close. Hell I had a tonne of fun playing arcade machines in the 90s, and mutant league football, 2 player nfl street, hard to beat.

However, I've never been as deeply entrenched, as invested, as connected to a game as I am with skyrim. It's more than a game to me. I was thinking the other day how ridiculous it is that it only cost as much as a normal game. After a house (and a good house, maybe like a farm) I can't think of many purchases in life on earth that should cost more than skyrim, you get so much out of it.

I first played Skyrim on Dec 2011. It's pretty much been the only game I have played. I think I've only stopped temporarily when games like Assassins Creed III, Call of Duty (I'm ashamed), The Last of Us, and currently GTA V came out.

But I always came back to Skyrim.

Got the game launch day, and I'll always feel nostalgic about it. I spent the entire day playing and charting my movement on the parchment map that came with it.

Now, I just hope to make a transition to PC and finally get the mods I've always wanted.

I got it in January '12 and it's still my favorite game to play out of all my games. I might take a short break (couple days tops) from it but I'm always looking for new play styles. I think that's what keeps this great game so fresh, all the character build and RP possibilities. Happy early birthday Skyrim!

Despite the typical Beth bugs, Skyrim's shallow major quest lines, and briefly playing GTA V, Witcher 2, FO:3 and NV, I will say this game has consumed 85% of my video game time since 11/11/11. What shines is the RPing aspect (which I think Beth does the best job versus other non-Beth games) and the exploration (another Beth specialty).

No matter our frustrations with this game at times I think most of us think Beth has out-done itself and glad they put this game out before the next-gen consoles hit the market.

PS: :tes: and :fallout:
