I don't play on the pc...

Whoops. Always forget. :hehe: Well, I'm sure they'll think of something.

BTW, is that a mace the elven armor guy is holding ? Looks mightily wicked.

LOL! I'm just tired today. And I haven't played Oblivion for a long time.

Sure good that we're getting it though ;)

The way the female Redguard on the concept art wields it totally screams pole arm to me.

Looks exactly like how you'd hold a big axe with a long handle to me?

It doesn't matter how they class it, a halberd is a polearm. If they have polearms in the game but don't give them a polearm category then polearms are still in the game.

That's true :) I just meant it doesn't mean there is a polearm or spear category in the game, nor does it mean they will have polearm or spear animations. They could be under the axe category and be used like axes is all. Or they could be polearms both in skill, animation and looks. No way to really know, I just commented because people were going like "polearms confirmed", which they're not.

At 56 seconds, what does it say under, "Riften Forgery"?

Not sure, but I'm quite certain it's 'Fishery'. Note the fish.

Though that Argonian isn't very beast like ( am I wrong or does it have a bit of a more elongated head? ) he still looks awesome :icecream:

I don't think concept art of certain things means it will be in the game.

But it allows us to dream

Couldn't help but notice at 3:37, there is two pics above the concept artist's(don't know his name  ) head there is two pictures of two humanoid like creatures, the one of the them may just be a troll but on a slightly better look it appears not to have the same face as a troll(Perhaps early design) but it appears to have a much flatter, more wolf like snout.. The one directly above it appears to be much more humanoid stance although nothing can be seen of its appearance it is most definitely hairy judging by the way it has a lighter tone surrounding it which instigates that it has a hair being affected by light... Although it could just be me seeing things it does seem interesting.lol

So far however it the concept art looks nice, it shows that Skyrim is going to be a very dark and very well Nordish.lol

Weapon skills:

One-Hand
Two-Hand
Marksman

Halberd/polearm = Two-Hand.

I'm a little concerned with the 'Bandit Outfit' TBH. It reeks of 2-piece armor.

Aside from that (quite far aside), it was a surprisingly good update.

That's it....I had expected if they were going to show art it'd be much more than that. Good to know they have more concept art than usual to help the designers and programmers.

also, i see a halberd!!

If you mean the one the executioner is holding, it looks more like a 2 handed axe than a halberd to me. The axe head is too large and the shaft too short for a halberd, and the design is more along the lines of a battle axe than a polerarm.

I hope the http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/2086/ss20110126190244.png can be used like a spear. At least it seems to be two-handed.

Guess we won't get beast-legs, but he still looks nice!

I was hoping for beast legs, is it me or does it look like he doesn't have completely human legs? I mean they aren't the beast legs from Morrowind, but they still kind of look different from human feet.

In any case, I still hope it is something we can get during customization.

Anyways, facepaint, halberd, I'm so [censored] excited!

I'd say it's probably Elven, for females. maybe they have different armors this time around, instead of just a few form changes.
or maybe it's some new dwemer armor or whatever

My point exactly, that they might be lumped in with the other two-handers, not as a seperate weapon skill and type :) Just like how axes were lumped in with "blunt" in Oblivion.

Alls I was saying is that the fact that since there is so much concept art about it (publicly accessible concept art I might add) the chance of them being in the game in some form looks good. My reasoning for that is it's likely they were commissioned to make some art with polearms in them, which would mean other parts of the team had thoughts to implement them. Plus, it would be silly of them to not realize revealing concept art of polearms would stir the pot a bit. I'm sure they don't want to disappoint.

I think most people are referring to the halberd at 1:41.
