Kinda. I remember the actual '87 season replacements more than I remember the movie. The announcers used to say stuff like, "Here's Billy Soandso, he's usually an insurance salesman, but he's now stepped in to quarterback the Chicago Bears". It was surreal.

I'd say the Bronco fans have come around to Tebow. He leads the league in jersey sales and if you've watched any of their home preseason work, that number 15 is everywhere. He's the newest Golden Boy though. There's gonna be hate. No biggie.

Darrelle Revis and the Jets are still 40M apart. Geez.

Ah, the replacement era; that was the only way the Packers did any good during that period!

I think the quality might be better this time around with the indooe league, although I'm not sure if they're part of the union.

I'm pretty scared about all fo the hype around the Packers. I still think Rogers will choke against the Viqueens.

Why would you think that? Despite getting sacked 14 times in 2 games, and getting hit many more times Rodgers played very well in the two games against the Vikes last year; he completed 66% of his passed for 5 TDs and 1 INT, not bad when you are getting hit in the face every time you drop back. The problem was no one else on the team did their job.

I say the same thing about Tony Romo when the Cowboys lose...

Rodgers will still get pressured by the Vikings. Every team that plays them will. Brett Favre will not be as good as he was last year.

They're the favorites, there's no doubt about it. My only question is if their defense is good enough. Defenses that revolve around creating turnovers usually don't do great two years in a row. Especially when offenses know a bit more about what's coming in the second year of a defensive coordinators scheme.

Baltimore got this CB, Josh Wilson from the Seahawks. At first I didn't think much of it but judging by the Seahawk fans reaction he should be a good addition to the team and only for a conditional draft pick, they feel robbed.

What do you guys think about the NFC east (Cowboys, Eagles, Giants, Redskins) They can be either the strongest division or the weakest this year. If the 'skins and Giants do good with their additions and Eagles can still do well with Kolb as QB they all could be playoff contenders (assuming the Cowboys also do well) but they also could all do bad, just have to wait and see I guess.

The Cowboys are not a cohesive team, so I am not sure they will do well. Jerry Jones needs to focus on his stadium and not the team he owns.

I still don't understand why Donovan McNabb was traded away from the Eagles, didn't he get them in the Playoffs most of the seasons that he played? Reading his career summary, it seems he is a great QB. Then again, the Broncos traded Cutler.

Redskins, well as long as Dan Snyder has a revolving door on coaches, that team is doomed.

That leaves the Giants in my mind as contenders to go all the way.

Eagles traded McNabb because they listened to the fans.

Part of the reason for a revolving door for coaches with the Skins is because the coaches do a poor job.I think Shanahan will be around for sometime though.

So the Skins and Titans are talking about a deal that would ship Fat Albert back to Tennessee. :celebration:

So, I was watching TV just a few minutes ago and it turns out NRK, the biggest Norwegian network has gotten an NFL contract, at least they're airing a game sometime this week, I missed the date because of the cheerleaders on screen. But anyway, yeah, Norway will apparently air NFL games now.

Well, I've never really gotten into American Football, so not really. However, whenever I wear a baseball hat (As in, always) it just doesn't feel right if it's got another team than the Yankees on it, not sure why, I've never watched a baseball game in my life :P
I am happy that NRK got an NFL deal though, simply because it offers more entertainment for people and anyone in Norway who is a fan (I went to high school with a girl from Texas who lives here, I'm sure she'll be happy about this) of American Football now has an easier way of seeing it, so it's great.

Who knows, maybe I'll get into it.

Anyone see the call at the end of the Lions game?

Worst call ever, the Lions got robbed out of what should of been an amazing win.
