A penalty wins the game. That one had my heart beating right up to the end.

I was fortunate enough to have tickets to the Steelers home opener. First time I got to go in about ten years. What a game to go to though. I have no voice and I'm hungover but it was worth it. Atlanta always brings their A-game. Next week down to Nashville. Their RB has a chip on his shoulder for being skipped over in the draft for Mendenhall. I hope the defense steps up.

Watching the highlights online now. It looked like the Lions were robbed. That was a touchdown.

Going by the rules it was not a TD but I think that whole rule is complete crap.

Anyone see the call at the end of the Lions game?

Worst call ever, the Lions got robbed out of what should of been an amazing win.

I understand the rule for when in main field, but if a running back can have possession, cross the plane, then fumble, the fumble doesn't count. I think that same logic should be working there on that catch. Also, after the night game, some expert (not the ex-ref) said that this rule had been discussed, but not changed. Silly.

And splain me this: what does Barron have on the Cowboys that he's still around? Five years leadng the NFL in penalties? Shoot, I'm by no means an expert, but I think he had two major srew-ups last night. One cost them the game.

And the Dallas Skins game, I had the sound down and was only half-attentive, but were those teams both that bad (penalties, drops, etc.) or was the D that good?

Finally, my wife is from Chicago. She was torn about the Bears' win. 1) Her team won, but that means that 2) Lovie will be there at least one more game.

Oh, and go Pack!

Dallas had a decent offense but once they crossed the midfield mark the got screwed by penalties or good D by the Redskins. The Skins on the other hand just have a bad offense.McNabb was good and he was able to get it to Cooley and Moss fairly often but that was it.The O-line still has some holes, though Trent Williams was good especially against DeMarcus Ware.Running back wise they have a bunch of veterans past their prime.Portis had maybe 2 good runs at the end of the game but that was it.Larry Johnson went no where most of the time as well and outside of Cooley and Moss McNabb has no other good options.

Turns out that Norwegian NFL deal will only cover the season opener and the Superbowl, why they don't just air every game is beyond me.

Remembered me as a Bears fan? Good man.

Anyway, undefeated, no big. Not like we beat a terribad Lions team without their star quarterback (star for the Lions, that is). And it's not like an awkward rule gave us a win we didn't deserve when Calvin Johnson tried to pimp a TD grab.

Notes of Week 1:

Favre is not good
Arian Foster is a stud
Jay Cutler > Aaron Rodgers, keep up Jesus
etc, etc, etc

Ravens/Jets game was fun to watch even though neither team really did much offensively. Sometimes, when the defense really shines, you start to see how good offenses really are....and neither one (Jets or Ravens) is quite there yet.

Also, Chiefs over Chargers? That's upset number 2 this week lol

Number 2?

Texans over Colts
Redskins over Cowboys
Chiefs over Chargers
Seattle over San Fransisco

were all upsets. You could argue the Ravens over the Jets was an upset, but only if you bought into the silly hype surrounding the Jets this year.

Oh yeah, I forgot about those. Seattle over San Fran is just...ug. I don't wanna talk about it.

Also, I have Verizon Fios. 1500 channels and I only got to see 5 football games with weekend. Grrrr...

I have Fios too. I had the DirecTv Sunday Ticket package for many years but I as of last year I couldn't afford it anymore. :(

Have you seen/heard about the http://redzonetv.nfl.com/? It is available on Fios, channel 338 for me, I don't remember how much it costs but not too much. I had it last year and it is a pretty good way to watch football if there in no one game you want to watch. They jump around between all the games, they never spend more than 5 minutes on each game at a time, and there are n commercials. I am going to get it again this year if I get a job in the next week or two like I should.

Interesting game between the Bears and the Cowboys. Didn't see the bears taking it but credit to the D they really shut down the Cowboys offence

Note: I am a Vikings fan. I have been one since 2003 when they had Culpepper and Moss.

Brett Favre svcks. They need to put him on the bench.

Nah, it's just Favre...he's done that his whole career. Trust me, I'm a Packer's fan, we've lived through that roller coaster (oh god! He's under pressure...intercepted! ) Note I didn't see the game to know if it was pressure, bad O-line, bad throws, etc.
