I'm just curious how much longer Childress is going to last in Minnesota. Its obvious the entire team hates him and won yesterday in spite of him, not because of him. Especially with the revelations about him and Percy Harvin almost coming to blows in practice last week, if I didn't hate the Vikings as much as I do, I would almost feel bad for them.

No, I mean torturing Phillips. It's been clear that he's been practically begging Jerry Jones to fire him the past few weeks, I think Jones just kept him as the head coach this long out of stubbornness.

I think JJ's first choice is Jason Garrett, but if he svcks it up over the second half of the season he's going to have to go for an outside coach. To hire Gruden or Cowher JJ would have to step down as GM, and I don't see that happening. I think we'll see a coordinator from another team or a college head coach come up next season.

I knew what you were saying, I was just used as an opportunity to make a joke.

Bill Cowher will never coach this team. I don't know why his name constantly comes up. Gruden maybe, but he's overrated as a coach, and I'm not too sure I want him. I actually agree that we are going to see a coordinator or possibly a college coach move in to Valley Ranch come next season.

Whoever they get next he better not be a push over like Phillips or they'll go through the same thing.

I'm interested to see if McDaniels will get the can after this horrible, horrible season.

Don't even wanna talk about how bad the Broncos are playing. 2-6 says it all.

As much as I like seeing him fail I would like seeing him get fired so much more.

I've been saying Cowher for months now. I think Garrett will fail because the Defensive players don't even really know him as a coach or a person. It's a sad time in Dallas. The whole locker room is divided. It's going to be a while before we see a good Cowboys team because they need to rebuild. I hope it's Gruden but I doubt he'd do it. Cowher is the obvious choice. Looks like its between the Cowboys, Bills and Panthers for the first pick in the draft.

The whole team just gave up. I'm speechless and embarrassed to be a Cowboy fan.

Go Raiders!! haha...

So now the Dallas Cowboys got rid of their website. They must be cleaning house. It's www.dallascowboys.com but it doesn't work anymore. It also doesn't work from nfl.com either.

This is the second time I've seen this, but the site works fine for me.

It's not just Phillips, it's the whole team (like someone said before), one annalist on NFLNetowk said it well: "There corners can't cover, their linemen can't tackle, their offensive linemen can't block, ect." I think Romo was the bright spot of the team, but well....

Anyone hear about Ravens FB McClain (apparently) spitting in a Dolphins player's face last Sunday? That dude had already pissed Mason off before the game, when he couldn't remember his name and called him "that old guy" and now this....
I'm not really liking how the Ravens and Falcons have to play Thursday after just playing Sunday but ah well :/

Yeah, I saw the video of McClain spitting on him. It was pretty obvious.

As for the Cowboys, their biggest problem is o-line and their secondary. The problems in the secondary are mostly because of the safeties, not the corners. Newman has been injured, but he hasn't been too bad. Their safeties are just plain awful though, really exposes the corners. That and Mike Jenkins basically quitting on the team. Dude needs to get traded ASAP, along with the Cowboys first round pick for multiple draft picks. The linebackers are definitely old and can't do much either, but they do have some younger guys that just need to get in there.

Hey Garrett got it done. Keep it up and we won't need to talk about hiring anybody.

Farking Giants!

We have a family pool where we pick winners and rank with points. My 6 year old, yes 6 year old, won the week because she only put 10 on the Giants. My wife and in-laws all put 30+ on them :shakefist:

I bet there some surprises in Vegas from that game!

Did anyone else watch the Browns v Jets game?

I'm sad the Browns lost (Chansi, why?!?), but any game that goes down to the final 24 seconds of OT is an exciting game.

We really are much better than our 3-6-0 record indicates.

Yes that was a great game.

Hopefully the Skins hurt Vick again before he does any damage and they can get the win.

While I hate the Eagles and will root for the Redskins as long as they're not facing the Ravens or 9ers, I do love to watch Vick play. He's up there with Peterson, Ray Lewis, and T.O. (Can you really hate him?) in the "Fun to Watch" group.

The Patriots played extremely well after last week's stinker in Cleveland. :shakehead: The offense was clicking, the defense made stops and got sacks though I expected at least a few anyway. The road ahead is still tough even with all the injuries the game against the Colt's is sure to be an obstacle. The Lion's will also be tough even with Matthew Stafford out. Then it's the rematch with the Jets.

The only reason i don't like him is because is is McNabb's replacement.I just lose so much respect for the organization after that so its not Vick I hate its the Eagles.

Oh, trust me. I think getting rid of McNabb (not "letting him go") was one of the dumbest moves any organization has done in recent history. There's just about nothing I like about the Eagles. My roommates and I have bets every week as to how fast Reid uses his three timeouts in the first half. Last week was with like 12 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. It's a fun little thing to do during the game haha.

Speaking of McNabb... ESPN is reporting that the Redskins signed him to a 5 year, $78 million contract extension. I for one am ecstatic that they're wasting their money like that!

I don't think he's got 5 years in him. So yea, they are wasting their money.

He almost certainly doesn't, he's about to turn 34! Only $40 million is guaranteed, but that's still a lot for a player that your coach claims to not have the "cardiovascular endurance" to play the two minute drill.
