3 INTS? I wonder if ol' Favre is starting to regret coming back yet? His opponents aren't gonna be satisfied til they snap one of his wings off.... I wonder how much friction his return is causing with the wife? She can't be enjoying watching the DEs falling over themselves to destroy her man.

Peterson was a beast. The defense was fairly decent.

Favre is just too old.

Wasn't happy with the field goals the Packers took in the first and the slump they had in the second. The third and fourth quarters they got it together and showed their potential, though.

Also, who is enjoying watching Matthews DPOY run?

How about Michael Vick?

Do you think he'll take Kolb's job?

Doubt it,they wouldn't trade away the best QB in their franchise,say Kolb was the future of the team and then bench him.Now if Kolb comes back and plays like crap he could be benched.To me thought the most likley scenario is Vick maybe getting traded before week 6 or leaving Philly in the offseason.

Great first half, up 20-7 against a great team is not half bad in my book,

Should of been a win. :sleep:

Holy crap. Houston came back on Washington!

Andre Johnson(notes) had 158 yards receiving and tied a career high with 12 catches. Kevin Walter(notes) caught 11 passes for 144 yards.

Deangelo Hall got zapped. That's what happened.

Don't get to excited, my money is on the Texans winning the AFC.

eh more like the D as a whole got zapped in the 2nd half.Redskins don't run a ton of one on one coverage so it was not just Hall.It also helped that for some moronic reason on Andre's game tying TD catch eh was single covered by a short white safety.He should never ever ever ever ever be left in single coverage like that.

I would say the Steelers. They're 2-0 with Dennis Dixon after playing two pretty decent, if not good, teams. Once Ben R. gets back in play, they might be something to reckon with.

They'll figure Arian Foster out in the next few weeks. They don't have much tape on him right now. After that, the Texans won't be as explosive with the run.

Eh the offense has been pretty bad so yeah I think Ben could revive it a great deal.Still I think Foster is the real deal.He doesn't really doing anything special, he just has pure talent.Still i would not be surprised if the Steelers were to take it.

Skins' look solid. They could win the division if there D can step it up a bit. Shaub had 497 yards passing... :o I still think.... Dallas will be in the Superbowl. They'll recover. It's a good thing they have a bye week after next week. They need one this early.

Foster is the real deal.

The reason Adrian Peterson doesn't have these 230 yard games (like his rookie year) anymore isn't because he has gotten worse, but because they have three years of tape on the guy and he has proven he is a beast, causing defenses to gameplan all week to shut him down (or try). The same thing will happen to Foster.

Brad Childress isn't making good decisions. He's too impatient. Teams are defending the vikes' playmaking opportunities and its causing Childress to call what is in my opinion too many passing plays per game.

When Favre came to Minnesota, he was supposed to be a support figure, not the main guy for a team. That is what Childress is making it look like he wants him to do. You've got Childress, a former Quarterback coach, trying to get Favre to carry this offense in the game when the Vikes are down, and it isn't working.

Peterson only got 20 or so carries on week 1. He got 28 against Miami, most of which came towards the end of the game where the Vikings start scoring.

If they want to make plays- with Sidney rice out, Gerheart hurt, McKinnie hurt against the Saints, Chris Cook, and Cedric Griffen hurt, they will have to give the ball to Adrian Peterson. IF they trade for V. Jackson, then that could be a good addition, especially when Rice comes back midway in the season. However, they don't have him and they may not get him at all.

Peterson needs to be getting at least 35 carries every game, and that is what I expect next week with the Lions and their run defense that isn't worth a nickel.

You've basically got defensive coordinators calling the same defense on the Vikings every week:

1) Double Percy Harvin. Don't let him make plays.

2) Cover Berrian. He hasn't been playing well.

3) Stick your best linebacker on Shiancoe.

4) Blitz Favre on every play, even on the run plays. If Peterson gets the ball, we'll stick him too.

They need to get some more outside stuff out there: screens, counters, outside runs with Peterson, etc. The thing is Peterson is as big as a train, but he is one of the fastest backs in the NFL. He is their guy. He needs to get the ball more, because apparently Favre's ankle is so screwed up he can't throw the ball under pressure anymore, and he doesn't even have Rice to throw to.

If you notice in the Dolphins game, Favre through 3 pics. Peterson went 28 for 148, 1 TD. They need to quit panicking when the other team scores, and they just need to run the ball with Peterson 35-40 times a game, simply because he is the disputable best back in the NFL in an argument with Chris Johnson.

And I say he is better than Chris Johnson, because Chris has only done well 1 year so far, and Peterson has had consecutive good numbers for the last 3 years- sharing the ball with Chester Taylor in every one of them.

~~~
Maybe the Vikings just should have given Chester Taylor, Darren Sharper, Matt Birk, and Tony Richardson their money over the past few years. You don't keep them, but then you pay Favre 20 million dollars, and he svcks?
EDIT: Add me to the list as a Vikings Fan.
Am I the only one here that loves watching the Pats lose...? I don't care who's beating them, I just can't get enough of watching that smug-buck Belli-cheat get his hat handed to him....
