NHL Playoffs

I totally agree. The Pens have shown how they can be beaten. Fluery will give up at least 2 goals a night. The Pens have to score 3 or more to win. Stop them from doing that, and you win!

I stand corrected. The Pens can win a game and not have to score 3 goals. Fluery can even post a shutout. Who knew?

No one can. "Got puck . . . score."

Yes, he got the taser! "Don't tase me, bro!" I read that a http://www.philly.com/philly/news/homepage/20100416_At_Phils_game__spit_happens__Vomit__too.html. Stay classy, Philly.

If the Wings lose this one I am going to be EXTREMELY upset. I wish I had cable to watch the Pens game, even if I do not like them it looked like a good one.

I hope someone breaks Crosby's face. Anyone else throwing temper tantrums like him would be in trouble, but its Betman's little pet so nothing happens. He seemed to be getting better in the little [censored] weasel deparment, but I guess not.

I cannot believe the Red Wings blew that one!

I heard about the HBO special. I'm not a Flyers fan so I didn't watch it, but a friend of mine said he did and loved it.

After last night, it looks like you can stick a fork in the Red Wings cause they're done. I have officially moved my support to anyone playing the Penguins. I can't stand Crosby, he seems like an arrogant pretty boy to me.

Poor Crosby, every time he got on the ice/control of the puck the Canadiens fans boo'd him. Canadiens booing a Canadian.

The problem with Crosby is that he is frustrated. It's mostly because of Montreal's good defense, but also because the refs refuse to call penalties (on both sides). Calls that are made during the regular season aren't -- consistently -- being made in the playoffs. I love Hal Gill, but the man holds or commits interference almost every shift. There were several calls on both teams that should have been made but weren't. It makes hockey unwatchable sometimes. In those cases, Sidney does the only thing he can possibly do: complain to the official. I don't like it when he does it, but the lack of officiating is rendering one of the NHL's best players useless. And I don't want to hear, "The refs should let the players decide the game." The refs are the ones influencing the game but not make the calls they should.

I can't believe that Pittsburgh beat the Habs last night, I was really hoping the would wipe the smile of Crosby's face last night. I am really starting to like P.K. Subban, he's pretty good for his age.

A little gung-ho offensively and has been caught up ice a few times as a result, but on the whole he's been solid. A week ago he was in the minors, now he's filing Markov's spot; that says plenty about his play.

It's been happening in the Canucks/Blackhawks game right now to. Currently 4-2 Blackhawks with less than half the 3rd left. :(

P.S.

5-2 :ahhh:

I never thought I'd say these words: I was rooting for the Flyers in that game. I'd like to see that series go longer than 4 games. Also, if the Penguins get past the Canadiens, I would like a Pens vs. Flyers matchup. I don't think that's going to happen now.

I was rooting for the Canucks. Both teams I was rooting for last night lost. I guess I should start rooting for the team I don't want to win.

Were you rooting for Detroit, too?

No, but I can root against them tonight if you want me too. ;)

All joking aside, as much as I dislike Detroit, I don't want to see them eliminated tonight. They are a good team, and I would miss seeing them in the playoffs, but I don't think we'll see Pens vs. Red Wings a third year in a row. I'm not even sure if my Penguins will make it to the Finals this year. They still need to beat Montreal and then probably Boston (Sorry, Miller the Killer).

On a related note, apparently Jordan Staal is a "http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10126/1056123-100.stm" tonight. If he plays, the kid is superhuman!

Franzen (my favorite player) already has 4 goals this game. Wings better not lose this one.

I certainly don't see them blowing this one.

That's more than I can say for the Pens! Another great game by Halak. Nice work, Habs. We'll see you back in Pittsburgh.
