Ugh reading the facebook fan page is painful.Comments like "I want to see Bouch", "Trade Carter", "We need Leighton back" and "Why is JVR sitting" just show how little some people know.

Flyers are on fire right now 8-1-1 in the last 10 games tied in points for 2nd in the NHL, they just look like they have no holes are the team.Beating any team 8-1 is impressive even if its the Canes'.

Also All-Star ballots are open on NHL.com

Fan voting is ridiculous IMO but whatever. I get what they are trying to do by getting the fans more involved. What does everybody think of the new All-Star Game format? Its like elementary school all over again with captains picking teams!

A good win for the Flyers, taking the Caps down at home in a shootout will get them back on track after two loses.

Also, Jonathan Quick is a amazing goalie.

At one point in the game he even caught a puck to the face mask and it was so fast that it made his face mask fall off :P.

Yeah, I couldn't watch the game, but my phone gets updates on my Kings games and when I saw them blow that 3 goal lead I swore a little. Thought they were gonna drop 3 straight. Still can't believe we lost to Buffalo of all teams. Only the Leafs and Devils are more embarrassing I think :P

Quick is good but it kills me with how inconsistent he was all last year. He can defiantly be considered a top goalie IMO if he can remain consistent through an entire season.

It not like the Kings don't have a good if not better second option.

In Bernier? That's what I was thinking last year as well, but watching him in some games this and last year I realized he is still young (so is Quick for that matter :P ) and has a ways to go I think, before he can be reckoned in the same league as Quick to challenge him as a starter. The problem for both of them is consistency but so far this year, they've both been pretty solid :)

Kopitar is one of the most under-rated offensive players in the league IMO. Possibly because L.A. doesn't get the attention that a market like the Leafs or the Flames gets, but he is not consistent enough either. However, if he can improve his defensive play (he already has in leaps and bounds over last year) then I'd be happy with him becoming a Datsyuk-like forward. Doesn't lead the league in scoring, but gets 80+ points but knows how to play both ends of the ice

Great shoot-out man though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Btl-PxRwRu0. Does it again here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APHqyQuW09w And then this one (beautifully smooth hands here): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVIXS1wMkzo&feature=related ---> gotta love the music in the last one...

:D

I was randomly watching Kopitar vids: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8sgVJx901c&feature=related makes me physically sick to my stomach after having this happen to me :P ---> random vid, I know

I can't decide whether the Flames played insanely good yesterday or Chicago just played incredibly crappy. Overall though, good game. :P

WOW, Kopitar is one hell of a player, but to see him get wrecked like that. :o. Anyone go to any AHL games? I go to the Worcester (Where I live :P) Sharks games every once in a while, but usually when they play the Providence Bruins because those two teams have some bad blood towards each other.

People actually care about the All-Star game anymore? I thought it was a joke once the Rory Fitzpatrick thing happened.

I went to Phantom games when they were still in Philly.

@Blade Master, I was thinking about how in the offseason they Flyers could possibly trade for one of the two.Now however it seems Bob is the new starter for good.

At the risk of bringing out all the haters, I saw this video posted and thought it was pretty freaking cool! http://video.penguins.nhl.com/videocenter/console?catid=-6&id=82239

My brother-in-law scored tickets to Friday night's Penguins game, a shoutout win for the Pens. We sat 10 rows behind the glass.

Oh my Kings, why are you unable to win on the road? Ottawa was a harsher loss than Montreal, if only because I hate Jason Spezza and his less than One Dimensional play.

Also, am I the only one who thinks Taylor Hall should be sent to the minors? None of my friends think that would be a good move seeing as how he's the number one pick and all, but looking at his play (my old man is an Oilers fan so we watch a lot of games in his house), while at times he shows flashes of why he was picked first, he is mostly giving the puck up and making poor defensive choice which are not being equaled with good offensive productions.

I think some time in the minors would do him well to be honest.

Well the refs just stole the game from the Flyers.Apparently if you give a teammate a direction with your hand in front of the goalie its interference. I know you can't deliberately block the vision but this was far from it.

Bruins are already 3-0 to the thrashers.... its the 1st period.... :cryvaultboy:
I don't think its really all Rasks fault but seriously, the game they put him in the start to lose 3-0 first period.

The worst part was that if you watch closely, Pronger does the hand movement, the ref doesn't have his hand up, and then the puck goes in the net 3 seconds later and only then does the ref call it with Kiprusoff yelling at him for it. I know the refs are under a lot of pressure lately with head shots and such, but after a call like that, I think they need to get it together. If the ref was going to call it, he should have done it right away for goalie interferrance, and not 3 seconds later when the puck went in the net.

My Kings woes continue still :(

Agree 100%, refs have to be quick with the calls and stick by them.Don't listen to some whiny player chewing your ear off for a call he thinks should of happened.
