Nick Valentine is Stuck

So I am to the part of the 'Long Time Coming' mission where Valentine travels to Andrew Station and you need to meet him there. I rarely fast travel so I went to a settlement and unloaded some loot and headed his direction. I got there and entered Andrew Station where Valentine is waiting. I travelled through the subway system killing those in my path and assumed Nick was following. However, when I got to the door where (I can only assume that Nick has to hack it) he was nowhere to be found. I back tracked and found him in the entrance room in a stance like he was waiting for an enemy. He occasionally says some threatening remark as if someone is there but no one is. I tried reloading it and he does the same thing. I can't talk to him even though the option comes up. I tried hitting him with a frag grenade and he goes down but it won't let me stimpak him. I haven't found a way around it and I can't proceed with the mission until he snaps out of it... Anyone have this issue and found a way to fix it? I'm playing in Xbox One.

Reload and be sure he follows very close, because he has problems to follow on distance. Happened to me as well, had to reload several times.

I've tried reloading a few times and sticking close to him so he doesn't get distracted but as soon as we kill the initial raiders upon entering he stops. Each time I reload he seems to stop and gets stuck quicker and quicker. I'll try it a few more times but it is definitely frustrating as I spent over an hour trying different things and I can't get him to move. I actually left Andrew Station and re-entered and he was absolutely nowhere to be found. Searched the entire subway system and he was just absent. I may just have to revert to an earlier save to see if that helps but man is it frustrating.

You know, reload a game save before you meet Nick. Be sure you kill everyone in the location(s) even you may walk a little from a to b, and then talk to Nick when area is clear. He will not stop.

Have you tryed physically pushing him past that point? It works with Kent in the Silver Shroud quest...

That will do as well. Some other companions I had to do the same, because they seems to be stuck or not moving. Bad scripts.
