I did hate how this highly anticipated (for me) moment seemed to just be considered another routine thing. I just turned off the TV after I saw the announcement, but I wouldn't mind a Bethesda-liking host the next time Bethesda announces a game through Spike.

I actually don't think the teaser is THAT amazing...personally I feel it's mroe awesome than it is because I've been waiting for it for so long. But I actually think his reaction was part of the joke. NPH is still awesome though :D

EDIT: (why did I just call him NPH ?! I don't even know him... :P)

Wow, someone doesn't like fantasy RPG games! Especially when a trailer about the next one is all LOTR-like with chanting at the end of which included warriors and dragons! I'm shocked! Horrified even!

I don't play any FPS, so I'm not gonna get excited at a new COD trailer.

And yes...I dared, all you COD players. :) I don't have X-Box Live, so you can't touch me. Muwahahahahahahahahahaaa!!!

Just be grateful you all had NPH on there. If it had been me I would have gone off on a long rant about how BGS can't just pull dragons out of their arses to appeal to the masses, and if that isn't what they've done then the teaser should have been a damn sight more clearer about it. Then I would have railed against Bethesda for revealing my most anticipated game on a show that doesn't even air in my country.

If it were me, I'd be throwing actual lore in people's faces to prove dragons have always been around in the series as well as prove that Bethesda Game Studios can't dare to make anything in a game without people screaming "It broke lore and appelared to the masses!".

But you just said they were all hiding up Bethesda's ass, you're contradicting yourself.

When did we learn about fighting an army of dragons in the game? For all we know, it could be an Akaviri force with one dragon, Tosh Raka, as an enemy. Actually, from what we know, I think that does seem most likely.

However, Daggerfall had plenty of little dragonlings zipping about, so that counts as numerous.

On a side note, that's an awesome emoticon. :fakenopic:

Oh I know. But my initial reaction would have been one of scepticism and uninformed really devoted fan rage. And the thousands upon thousands of VGA viewers would have had to sit through it.

And yeah but they were hardly the main antagonists, and that was before TES was very mainstream. The watering down is what I'm worried about.

You just acknowledged that there were numerous dragon enemies in the series before it went mainstream...

and you are worried about watering down based on what, exactly?

Oh, whatever. Back to Neil Patrick Harris, we should go. Who is he?

.......... aaaaand that they weren't major antagonists nor a large marketing pull.

and you are worried about watering down based on what, exactly?

Specifically, I was/still-am-slightly-but-less-so-is-this-level-of-clarification-good-for-you? worried that they were retconning TES dragons to be evil, simplistic 'oh noes they're going to destroy us for no particular reason!' type bad guys. The theory threads on the forums here have eased my worries since, but I was talking about my initial reaction!

So we're talking about a guy (who's maybe not an avid gamer) who's on a bunch of shows I don't care about and how he doesn't care about the announcement of TES V?

I have one question about this. Why does it matter?

Of course he doesn't care, as he's probably not even a gamer. It's like telling a guy who's not into football that [insert your favorite team here] won the Super Bowl. He won't care and will just want to get back to what he was doing before he was interrupted.

Also, the lack of caring is to be expected from anything that Spike TV produces, so why is this a big issue?
