In that skill's description, it states that the damage is increased up to 175% depending on your Ultimate's Pool.

I didn't quite understand how that worked in Beta because Once my Ultimate charged up completely, I couldn't fill up more.. and I couldn't use the ability unless my Ultimate was completely charged up. so.. Whats this "ultimate pool" they speak of? Anyone know how this ability works?

That is an Ultimate Ability, you have a pool that is recharged, and once you use the Ultimate Ability, you have to wait for the Ultimate Pool to fill again, think of it as a cool down timer if you will. Not sure what fills the Pool to be honest, if it is time or some other mechanism, I did not pay much attention to it.

Your innitial ultimate pool is 200 i think, and the skill is for example 150, but you can wait an other 50 ultimate to make it have more power. Basicly a charge up.

You REALLY don't want to know what fills pools.

Basically the little icon that shows you when you have that ultimate 'lights up' once you CAN activate it

So if you CAN activate it at '50 ultimate points' - it will light up
But if you just wait for some unknown period of time, you will be at '200 ultimate points'

So basically;

To activate the skill you need 50 ultimate.... you have 50/50 ultimate? It lights up indicating you can use it
To make it do max dmg like tooltip says....you need to have 200/50 ultimate

As of right now there's no way of telling precisely how much ultimate you are at by use of the icon....but I'm sure there will be addons that you can use to tell you numeric values.

think of the "ultimate ability" like "chi" in kung-fu

once you have built up enough aggression and anger and concentration in a fight it produces something similar to a "Power Hit" once you perform that power hit your depleted of all that energy it took to make that "Power Hit"

so once again while your fighting youll need to concentrate and grow that energy up again.

what fills that ultimate ability bar to allow it to be used again? " Finesse "

Finesse is essentially the character's reward for effective use of combat abilities. Once significant finesse points are earned, players are able to use a designated Finesse attack

its my belief that the more you use the skills on your hot bar the more you build up your finesse.(i could be wrong about that part)

Ahh. Thanks. That's what I thought.. I was wondering if there was a way to tell how much your pool has. They really should add an extra bar showing how many ultimate points you are at.. Even a small vertical or horizontal red bar glued to the ultimate ability icon. Would be nice so you could have the icon light up, but still clearly see the bar is only half full or so, knowing you can still gain more ultimate points.

Yeah for sure, but don't worry I'm sure there will be addons for it (I think there already are tbh)
But yes, it should be standard officially from the get-go

i watched the ultimate box slowly fill up

it had lines in it growing untill the ultimate was full and then it had like a slight glow to it once in a while catching my eye and reminding me it was available..
