Nightingale Bow and Becoming a Full Member of Thieves Guild

Post » Fri Jul 10, 2015 10:20 am

Hey guys Happyfacejunior here.
I was wondering how you achieve the position of being a full member of the thieves guild. I can do quests for them but apparently I'm not "officially in", according to my quest board. So in order to get the Nightingale Bow I need to become a full member to get that quest. Any ideas?

You need to finish the 4 (or 5?) special quests in the main cities, then you get a final quest where you become a full member. You might have to finish "http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/No_Stone_Unturned_(Skyrim)" as well, I can't remember.

The special quests are to become Guildmaster, not just a member. You become a full member after doing the quest to get the loan payments from the Riften merchants (and you're given the outfit to prove it).

What he says.

And you don't have to finish the No Stone Unturned quest (that requirement would be slightly insane). :)

The Nightengale Bow is a specific reward from a quest that is fairly close to the end of the Thieves Guild main quest line, related to (surprise) the Nightengales. Keep playing the TG questline and you will eventually get it.

In this case I'm not talking about insane as in long, hard, or something like that. That quest makes us take up completely unrelated side quest lines and guilds, and there's buying one of the most expensive houses in the game in there too. It's a stupid design, and it would be even more horrid if such questline would be a requirement. :P
