I hope this is the right place, I don't post often.

Anyway, I'm on one of the first Dark Brotherhood quests and you get a bonus or whatever if you kill someone named Nilsine Shattershield, and since I had no reason not to I decided to go for it. One problem, though:
I can't find her anywhere.

I have broken into the Shattershields house, I have gone into every building in Windhelm, I have ran through every single street and gone down every ally, but shes just not there. Does she ever leave the city or something? Or did she like, die? The only quests I've ever done in Windhelm that might result in a death or two was "Blood on the Ice", but I don't think she was even mentioned during that quest.
Hmm... Actually, I don't think I've ever seen her before. There a glitch where she doesn't spawn or something?

The only places I've seen her in are the inn, the marketplace and her home. She also does some walking between the market and her home, passing through the graveyard part in between.The game did give a quest arrow for her on my map, so if you can't see that, she might have died somehow.

did u try settin her as a active quest if u did ur fd it glitched

I found her walking near the graveyard, she was acting paranoid like she was expecting trouble too.

When I did this quest I saw her going into the Hall of the Dead. Only reason I can think she would go in there is to see her twin. Also didnt start the Blood on Ice quest either so i dont know if that would make a difference or not

Do you have quest marking turned on? It leads you right to her...

I did this quest just now, and there was no arrow pointing me to her. I couldn't find her anywhere, and I found that sort of strange since I used to see her around Windhelm all the time. So I used the console commands to move myself to her, and she was apparently already dead. No idea how or why. The console command brought me to this strange, small t-shaped room with two empty coffins in the middle, with a bunch of nearly-naked dead bodies piled on the ground. Some of whom I had killed (General Tullius, Legate Rikke, Grelod), some other random dead people who I didn't kill (Roggvir), and some people who I didn't even realize were dead (Malborn, Arivanya, Belyn Hlaatu). Malborn was actually still "alive," actually. He was standing up in his underwear, though he had no conversation options. Anyway, I used the console command to resurrect Nilsine in there, and I was able to have the normal quest conversation with her. I re-killed her, and the quest completed. Though it gave me a full bounty because of Malborn standing there, so I had to "kill" him too to get rid of it. I also had to use console commands to get out of there because there was no exit and fast travel could not be used.
