Nine Divines and 17 Daedric Lords

I like the Daedric Lords. My favourite is Hircine, but I also like Arkay, the God of the cycle of Life and Death.

Where is Lorkhan? In TES nobody wants to have him on their side, but this is just a poll :D

I took Boethiah, I like his manipulation skills.

My answers:
1: Daedric lords. They're actually visible; it's hard to judge someone who never does anything that you can see.
2: Akatosh. I mean, he's a dragon. What's not to like about that? Also, he echoes (intentionally or not) one of my favorite characters from the Warcraft universe, the Dragon Aspect of Time, Nozdormu, being that Akatosh is the god of Time, is he not?
3: Sheogorath. Hands down. Or up, if you prefer. The man loves his cheese, and you gotta respect a man who loves cheese.

Guess which Aedra that I picked....

No signature? How will we know who this message is from? Curse you, you cruel anonymous figure!

And I chose Daedra. For they represent change, which I find to be more interesting than stasis.

I am partial to the Aedra Zenithar, God of hard work and commerce! For he is the God who shall always win ;)

And I chose Peryite, while I will not deny that his common image manifestation to mortals --similar to that of a dragon-- interested me. However, he is taskmaster, a respectable place to hold among both Daedra and the mortal world. Plus, he's overlooked. I like him, want to fight about it?

I believe the Divines are much more fascinating than the Daedra in the aspect that they almost never manifest themselves physically. However, when they do, people tend to notice (as seen with the banishment of Mehrunes Dagon from the Imperial City).

That is however, not to discredit the Daedra, who always like to play with dice when it comes to Nirn.

I really love Akatosh and Azura, both my favorite fictional deities.

There are 16 daedra lords....

Sheogorath=Jyggalag so It would be better to put in the poll Jyggalag/Sheogorath

I prefer the divines, but have no specific god(des) i prefer, favorite daedra is Azura

But since I've to vote for the divines, i go for Kynareth, she's a bit more special then the others in my opinion, plus I loved the locations related to kynareth in KotN

I definatly find the Daedra more interesting than the Aedra. My favourite Divine would probably be Akatosh seeing as he is the only one I know anything about to be honest. My favourite Daedric Prince would be Molag Bal. I find the lore surrounding him to be quite interesting and even though he is more of a schemer I still find him interesting.

When you complete Shivering Isles you separate Sheogorath from Jyggalag.
They become separate entities.

Indeed, but there is no general concensus yet if the new Sheogorath is a Daedric Prince, a mortal with some Daedric power or something completely different.

SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even Jygallag and the old Sheogorath do not know:

Mortal...? King? God? It seems uncertain. This Realm is yours. Perhaps you will grow to your station. Fare thee well, Sheogorath, Prince of Madness.

How can I be a Daedric Prince?
A fair question. You won't, really. At least I don't think so. But you'll have power. My power. Try not to lose it. It's a pain to replace. But, for all intents and purposes, you'll be Me.

Mortals. They do all the hard work then some (d)aedra tries to steal all the credit.

Of the Nine, Kynareth. Having her Woodland Grace blessing makes travelling much less annoying.

Of the 17, Meridia. The daedra of life energies and light. Plus I share the hatred of the undead.

My fav are the Daedric Princes of course, but my favorite Divine is Dibella because she is a patrion of Artists, yet ironically my favorite Daedric Prince is Namira because of her dark nature and the way she embraces things that are fowl and disgusting.

For the first question, I find mortals infinitely more interesting than the gods. There's so many ways they can go.

For the second I picked Talos, since I find the whole Tiber Septim apotheosis thing very interesting.

And for the third, Hermaeus Mora. A blobby tentacled crab-clawed thing with a library full of forbidden knowledge and a name no one can remember how to spell? Count me in :goodjob:

Mehrunes Dagon! Why? Because he has a Can-Do attitude, even after being defeated countless times. And it's not like it's even his Fault, (if you beleive the Nordic Myths), and really it was the Greedy Man who just messed with him.

I chose the Nine Divines. They interact with mortals like the Daedra, but their methods are far more subtle, and from what I can tell, benevolent. They seem to represent an option with considerably more choice and self-determination involved than the Daedra, many of which typically present themselves as deities with a variation of the "do as I say or suffer" tagline.

I chose Kynareth because I appreciate the sphere of the heavens and the sky that she represents, which goes hand in hand with my obsession concerning airships in TES lore. I also love rain, which is another aspect associated with Kynareth.

Finally, I chose Hircine from his Daedric peers, because out of all the Daedra lords, I think he would be the most trustworthy. While the others seem to have alterior motives for everything they do, or have hidden intentions, Hircine is purely focused on the hunt. I feel like he's the only Daedra somebody could really learn to understand, and I have a certain respect for his hunter mentality.

Actually, the Nine have been known to manifest themselves physically, subtlely of course. Talos, Mara, and Zenithar had mortal avatars in Morrowind.

Why does everyone love Sheogorath? Is it because of the shivering isles?
Hircine is much better
