Wow...
All I saw was Mario Kart and I stopped caring.
But for anyone that doesn't fully understand what is going on: Nintendo is starting to go down the path SEGA went down. Took them a long time to get to that point.
I moved into my house in 2008. Unpacked my WII and placed it in the entertainment center, but did not plug it in or hook it up, thinking I would do that later. 5 1/2 years later, the Wii has only been touched to dust it. Shame as that was a platform that had potential.
First Atari was king of the Video Game Kingdom and they created game consoles that were hit and miss, example:
Atari 2800
5200
7800
Jaguar
Jaguar CD .
Then Nintendo came along and dethroned Atari and for the longest time they were king and Sega moved in to the VG kingdom and set up base and thus came the Bit Wars.
Nintendo and Sega fought bloody battles but eventually the Sega Empire began collapsing and Sony and Microsoft set up shop. After years of battle the Sega Empire finally collapsed and where taken as slaves to Nintendo. Then the battle of the three Kingdoms Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft would insure and now the Nintendo Kingdom is starting to show signs of collapse....it's only a matter of time till Nintendo follows in the Sega and Atari downfall saga---let's hope that the VG Gods show their mercy on the Nintendo Kingdom.
I own a Wii. I played it non-stop for a few months the year it was released. Then I stopped caring. It actually has not been turned on by me personally in well over two years. In fact the last game I bought for it I didn't play more than a half an hour of before I shut it off (Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2). My daughter will occasionally play it; she's 3 and only plays Mario Kart or Mario Party.
I honestly have been completely unimpressed with Nintendo. They should just go back to making card games.
