Nirn Recorded Mythology?

Post » Sun Jul 28, 2013 4:25 am

I tried to find out some vague history regarding the continent of Nirn, but all I received was some I tried to find out some vague history regarding the continent of Nirn, but all I received was some humorous responses. Therefore, I would like to start anew.

I would like to write a short “lore friendly” piece about my female character. (I am somewhat of a history buff regarding Amazon mythology.) To do that however, I need to find out if an island of women exists or existed at one time: and, if so where on the continent? (Albeit a truth or a myth within the realm of Nirn.) Does anyone have any thoughts on the subject? Thank you.

Nirn is the name of the planet while Tamriel is the continent on which the current five installments have taken place.

As far as I know there isn't any... Only thing I can think of that's by anything about dominant females is the Shivering Isles and that quest in Oblivion in the city of Anvil where a couple of female outlaws rob men by trying to seduce them and then steal all their stuff.

I don't think there's anything like the Amazons in TES. Although Dratha of House Telvanni was a notable sixist who didn't let men live in her residence/community of Tel Mora. Of course, if you intend this character to be for Skyrim, there's no telling if either Dratha or Tel Mora survived the Red Year, or if something else managed to land a fatal blow on Dratha.

First thing that comes to mind is maybe a Dibellan cult or something.
